Toronado was considered to be a smaller car ? Never read about that I saw some of the early scetches for the XP__? and they looked more like how it turned out and some like the 67 Eldorado.

Yeah, MT Classic has a whole article on the Toro, and there's an interview with the Toro's original designer. And check out MT Classic if you want a car rag that discusses classic cars with out showing off the same old, same old trailer queens.

I hemmed & hawed over the F-85 question, too but could not recall anything definate that indicated a FWD proposal/plan. So what's the "answer" on #5? If you had said Hemi convertible, its a given. But some of the 88 '70 RA IV T/As have hit $125K (they don't change hands often), but I don't know if a hardtop 440 cuda would eclipse that or not.

Wait a minute.... "considered to be?" that was some tricky wording... Iwas going to say WTF? They "CONSIDERED" making it FWD but the car could never be considered fwd. ;)

Well, Olds engineers hacked up a few Ramblers with intentions of making the F-85 front-drive. Also, for a completely unrelated car, Olds built a car on the rear-drive, rear-engine Corvair platform by just spinning the platform 360 degrees. Also, Sixty-8, the "Red Flame Car" was intended to be a Camaro-sized car. Let me mention that the Toronado name was first used on a Impala SS convertible concept with purple paint. The whole myth with the cleaning lady and Tornado floor cleaner is bull. Let me appologize for the crummy wording on numbers 2 and 3. B)
