November 29, 200718 yr I guess I'm kind of picky when it comes to coffee. Certain Tim Hortons make it right, and others I've actually brought it back to the counter and told them to make another one that's not burnt. I notice that sometimes I'm drinking the same coffee as others, they don't mind and I do. On the other hand I'm no connisseur either, I won't buy Starbucks coffee (which is just overly bitter anyways). The coffee here at my building sucks. I asked my boss one day how the coffee was when he was drinking it, and he said "Hot and brown". I guess those are the only nice things he could find to say. Somehow a description of coffee that would also fit poop kind of bothers me. So... are you a coffee connisseur? Also, do I just need to get more addicted to caffeine to stop judging coffee? Maybe one day I'll like drinking "Hot and brown" coffee too... gross...
November 29, 200718 yr I love coffee... been drinking it since I was 5 or 6. However, I grew up on Maryland Club - Butter Nut by Procter & Gamble (now discontinued.) As far as store bought coffee, P&G make good coffee IMO. They produce the Millstone line which I'll choose over Starbucks any day. I don't like Seattle's Best Coffee (also owned by Starbucks) because their 'Italian Roast' process gives it a burnt taste IMO. Starbucks' medium roast isn't bad. Morning is overdone. Dark roast is okay...
November 29, 200718 yr I hate burnt coffee.... not much of a coffee fan anyway. When I drink it I do enjoy a hazlenut iced, extra, extra.
November 29, 200718 yr I don't drink hot drinks, I find they destroy the natural oils in your face and make you look twice as old as you are! :rotflmao:
November 29, 200718 yr I hate coffee and I hate coffee shops even more. (Don't even get me started) However, I am a smoothie fanatic so I find myself in coffee shops WAY too often. The smell alone makes me want to vomit. DAMN YOU RITAZZA AND YOUR DELICIOUS PEACH & CREAM SMOOTHIES!!!! Edited November 29, 200718 yr by FUTURE_OF_GM
November 29, 200718 yr I love coffee..takes 2-3 cups in the morning to get me going.. we have a pretty nice local gourmet coffee shop chain here (Peaberry Coffee) ...they have a pretty rich Brazilian coffee that I get a couple of times a week.. I enjoy spending a 1/2 hour or so relaxing at a coffee shop now and then. At home, I usually brew up some Starbucks breakfast blend. We have a Starbucks coffee bar at my office, so I get a Venti Carmel Macchiato or White Chocolate Mocha once in a while.
November 29, 200718 yr I liek coffee, but I like it with a lot of cream and sugar, some say I like a little coffee with my cream and sugar . Love French Vanilla, Hazelnut is good too. I like them iced or hot. You;re not alone about being picky...I'm a pretty picky eater. If I'm paying for teh food I damn well expect it to be made to my satisfaction
November 29, 200718 yr Ok majored in beverage managment so im a bit of a geek on this subject..... DD underroasts their coffee beans Starbucks Flashroasts all their beans which in turn burns alot of them My fav coffee is from where coffee originally started. Sumatra is the best possible bean IMO it has a mellow taste and has the most caffeine of any bean....
November 29, 200718 yr I've been thinking about picking up a Keurig single cup brewing machine for home. Living alone, I've never bothered brewing at home but with winter setting in I like the idea of having a coffee at home rather than going out just for a coffee fix. I'm not big on Tims as its hard to get the right amount of cream/sugar added when you can't do it yourself. They usually add too much.
November 29, 200718 yr the work coffee here is like piss which is funny because its the premeasured starbucks stuff. i might as well pee in a cup and drink it. i am getting to the point where i gotta have it right from the starbucks or caribou store or not at all.
November 30, 200718 yr Tea. Coffee in the US is crap. At least the chains that think they know what they're doing. First day of school I tell my students, a cappuccino is not this drink you order in a 50 oz mug that's super sweet, comes with whipped cream on top and caramel drizzled over it.
November 30, 200718 yr some of it has to be where they get the water from, and how often the machine is cleaned. I drink the stuff rarely, with sugar and cream or a big helping of ice cream.
November 30, 200718 yr I stay away from all things with caffeine. It wreaks havoc on how your body burns energy and as someone who rides bikes regularly I don't need that.
November 30, 200718 yr I like tea better to be honest. You can get a wide variety of flavors, although I usually stick to regular or green tea.
November 30, 200718 yr I'm more of a tea drinker myself... I'm trying to wean myself off pop... Though I'm sure I'll need it when the kid is born......

It's all about the Cafe St. Eustachio in Roma, although I heard Tazzo D'Oro is pretty good, too. I mistakenly ordered a cappuccino after noon, which is apparently sacrilegious. I'm not big on coffee (even with cream and sugar in it, it's too bitter for my tastes) but I tried some coffee over in Italy and it actually wasn't too bad. I also had cappuccino over there a lot and it's much better than the crap we have here. Although when I was a kid, there was a Texaco station in town that actually made pretty good cappuccino...but that place has long closed.
