I read somewhere that it would be a Koenigsegg CCX. I think I like the Mustang better. I think it should be stealthier, though; delete the stripes and cobra insignia.

There's only ONE car that should replace KITT, not the '57 Chevy KITT

or Knight Rider 2000 that was FWD, the REAL KITT, a 1982 Pontiac

Trans Am, black & sleek should only be replaced by ONE car:

The Vette would be fine, or Solstice, even maybe an XLR...

but a Mustang? WTF? It's not a Pontiac, it does NOT have the look of KITT.

Even a Mercedes CL63 or Porsche 911T might work but a Mustang...?

besides, they have to be able to get cheap cars to ramp & generally screw up for stunt shots. Lot easier to get a cheapo mustang & make it look enough like the main show car than it would be with any of the above (despite them all be waaay cooler cars.)

The Mustang just does not fit KITT's personality. Plain & Simple.

Even a Shelby Stang is still a Mustang, the Trans Am was a

much better, more sophisticated car, always was. A Vette Z06,

Holden GTO, CTS-V or even an XLR would be more fitting.
