You can get it in certain parts of Asia, too.

It's not too bad looking actually, except the odd way the headlight creases on the fenders.

The i30 is the Hyundai version of the Kia Ceed, from what I've read in the British mags.

the plate on the front says i30... you couldn't just google "hyundai i30"?

Chances are, well, I think, they(Hyundai) will use that very same car, modify it a little bit on the back end and use it as the upcomming Elantra Touring.

Considering it's a mix of Opel Astra and Mazda3 (besides the rear) I'd say you'd have to be crazy to think so. Unoriginal, yes. Ugly, no.

Mixing nice bits doesn't necessarily have it stay nice. The Chinese have tried that and failed miserably.

Doesn't guarantee ugliness, either. It's not an unattractive vehicle by any means, and the styling cues mix nicely.

The rumor has it that Hyundai and Kia originally planned them for US as well, but later scrap the idea thinking about the price conflict. I think I saw on one of the magazine that actually tested the Kia version that said that it would cost way more to sell that here. I don't know how that will going to be that way since these are just another small cars that will never sell anyway in US, but....
