December 20, 200718 yr An article in the December 20, 2007 Lansing State Journal says that the Buick Enclave remains in very tight supply, with some would-be owners waiting months for delivery. To read the entire story, click here.
December 21, 200718 yr I am glad there in demand. But uhh seriously this is good people want them, bad they don't have enough to meet demand.
December 21, 200718 yr Interesting.... it's... almost... as if GM is purposely limiting production in order to keep demand and buzz high.... *tinfoil hat time*
December 21, 200718 yr Good news indeed...but to counter what Drew said, perhaps GM just said hey it's a Buick, everyone knows that, no matter how sweet it is, people wont want it...but oh how they do
December 21, 200718 yr They are 100% limiting supply...this week's Automotive News indicates a 31 day supply ---the second lowest of GM vehicles still being actively produced (behind the CTS). This is 1/3 of the average supply of all GM products! Yes, you've read that correctly...GM has a 3 month supply of vehicles heading into the winter months.
December 21, 200718 yr It's a great sign that they have shifted their thinking from, "How can we sell as many as possible right now?" to "How can we sustain the profitability of this vehicle line for years to come?" The old thinking led to a lot of GM's current problems, high incentives, high fleet sales, low resale values, thin product mixes and the list goes on. The new thinking and restriciting supply is much more than a way to keep "buzz" around a vehicle, it's a way to lower incentives, fleet sales, increase resale value, build brand equity, etc.
