January 8, 200818 yr Author Interior pics coming soon? I'm interested in the "Obsidian like" accents. Ye' of little patience
January 8, 200818 yr Ye' of little patience Sorry I wouldn't have asked, except I didn't see you listed as posting in the thread (in that part of the page that shows who's viewing the thread...) Anyway... the dash and seats look good!
January 8, 200818 yr I like this picture: EDIT: I love this picture! Edited January 8, 200818 yr by ZL-1
January 8, 200818 yr The parking break pedal is gone, and I'm pretty sure I see the button for the electric parking break ahead of the shift boot on the center console!

January 8, 200818 yr Even though I still don't like the CTS ( I know it's a first class car), the V series once again saves it for me. I'd say it isn't quite as big a jump stylingwise from the base car as the first gen V was - but it still makes the difference. I'd like to see it lose the lower mesh grille ( lessens the effect of the main grille), and a cleaner dash design would please me more. Too many gadgets for my taste, but hey, it is a Caddy. I love the seats and the rest of the interior , and you won't catch me complaining about the drivetrain. Still, the style isn't my thing (CTS in general). Stylistically, I'd rather have the G8.
January 9, 200818 yr I think it's beautiful. It's really hard to see this as a 3-series fighter in V-Series form. At least in V-Series form, I say it's worthy attracting attention from E-Class & 5-Series owners.
January 9, 200818 yr I'm in LOVE....!!!!!! Gimme black-on-black with the 6-speed manual...... I've never really grown to love the new CTS styling, but somehow in pumped-up V-series form, it looks oh-so-right....! And LORD what an interior.........GM finally puts proper seats in one of it's sporty cars...! (The ZR1's seats....any Corvette seats for that matter....totally suck.)
January 9, 200818 yr I like the look overall, but this is one car that a front license plate will improve the looks, I think..the mesh lower grille and lower fascia shaping gives it a bit of the 'angry robot' look...I prefer the regular CTS front end design.
January 9, 200818 yr 'the car for porn kings' looks like honda civic ricer body parts have made their way over to cadillac. yet, i think i like it. those seats are incredible looking. is that a sheepskin steering wheel? How come we don't have seats like this in the corvette? i suppose this thing has pushrods.
January 9, 200818 yr Stunning interior, and the electronic parking brake is a big upgrade. Sweet headlights too.
January 9, 200818 yr I don't like the exterior - the normal CTS, in silver, in FE3, direct-injection spec, is perfection, IMO - but the interior looks fabulous. There's something Aston Martiny about it.
January 9, 200818 yr There's something Aston Martiny about it. Exactly what I thought...There is something very DBS-ish about that interior...
January 9, 200818 yr If it weren't for the lower front fascia that looks ripped out of the pages of Import magazine... It'd be a finely styling performance trim. Everything else is downright sexy, especially the interior. Those seats are absolutely fabulous.
January 9, 200818 yr It's a shame I absolutely despise the exterior, because the interior is possibly my favorite of any car, period.
January 9, 200818 yr Dump the grilles all together and come wup with something a bit more tasteful and I'm sold through and through. I was and never will be a fan of the cheap mesh look, even the simulated look on the Denali's, this look is disgusting too.
January 9, 200818 yr Its hot, but that lower front facia looks bad from low-angle pictures. Interior looks sooo cool! I LOVE the hood!
January 9, 200818 yr It's a shame I absolutely despise the exterior, because the interior is possibly my favorite of any car, period. Well... one spends more time looking at the intetrior anyway
January 9, 200818 yr Well... one spends more time looking at the intetrior anyway True enough...I love the interior and the exterior overall...the only thing I really don't care for is the front fascia and grilles..I'd rather have the stock CTS fascia and grille.. I love the surface development of the new CTS in general...the various hard edges down the sides, the way the roof sinks into the rear quarters and the decklid shape... I think my ideal CTS-v would be a stealth version, with completely stock CTS body work(except for the hood, I suppose) and a cream full-lux w/ wood CTS interior (I don't like gray). January 9, 200818 yr Great car. Up until 2001, I had been a loyal GM driver. Since then, I have had 2 Nissan Maxima's and most recently a VW Passat. I am now 100% convinced that GM is back with the vehicles that will bring back former customers like myself. I was considering a BMW 3 series/Audi A4/Acura TL/Lexus IS250 for my next vehicle but a CTS will now be the next car for me. I just wish I could afford this one!!!!
January 9, 200818 yr Damn. *faints* Love it. One in black, limo tint with black 15 spoke racing wheels. Bloody HOT!
January 9, 200818 yr As I mentioned in the spy photos, this car needs a lip spoiler like the older one.
January 9, 200818 yr After being VERY impressed with the car in the Edmunds spy shots, I feel kinda let down now. There is something that's turning me off, I just don't know what.... Maybe it sits just a bit too high, or maybe it has just a few too many lines... I'd love to see it in silver, as I find cars with lots of lines appeal to me in silver because I can follow the bigger picture a little better. Meh, either way it's an impressive piece and should knock 'em dead!
January 9, 200818 yr I sent a shot of the exterior over to my dad and he actually just met me in the hall and yelled at me to " NEVER SEND PHOTOS LIKE THAT TO HIM AGAIN!!" - then he asked if it will be available with an Auto and if it was a NS or LSA motor. Then sheepishly asked if there was a shot of the interior. He stared at the cockpit for about 5 minutes over my shoulder, then calmly asked when it will be DELIVERED to our shop. I guess he liked it! are there any rumors of pricing yet? Edited January 9, 200818 yr by toesuf94

January 10, 200818 yr C&D quoting around 60k. That is a steal!!! I told that to my dad ( I was guessing around there ) and he said "NO WAY! That Car will be above $70k for sure." Almost ZR-1 performance and you can scare the living hell out of three of your friends instead of just one!!!!
January 10, 200818 yr That is a steal!!! I told that to my dad ( I was guessing around there ) and he said "NO WAY! That Car will be above $70k for sure." Almost ZR-1 performance and you can scare the living hell out of three of your friends instead of just one!!!! Technologically it is "inferior" compared to ZR1 and upto a certain extent Z06 for following reasons: 1. No Ceramic brakes of the ZR1 (that saves $20k) 2. No Dry Sump 3. No "space age" weight saving measures as of the vettes 4. No titanium intake valves and structures. The 6.2L thus shares more parts with LS3 compared to ZR1 5. Smaller supercharger compared to the ZR1 Thus I can see the price between $60-65K price for it.
January 10, 200818 yr All good points to be sure. But add the two more seats, auto paddle shift, paint it black with a black out grill and call me Vader. I want one. The ZR-1 SHOULD be the more technological car - it is GM's Flagship. I wll accept the 'stripped down' Caddy for my needs. Seeing my family's eyes peeled back as I launch hard off of a stop light and keep 'em pinned in the seats as long as I want to will be worth it. And I am a Vette guy. This car makes more sense as it is more practical. Plus, I am really still not too hot on the hood on the ZR-1.

January 10, 200818 yr I'd love to see them do a CTS-vZR1 at some point... i think they tried that, the designers spontaneously cumbusted from sheer delight and joy. sort of like that joke of death skit from monty python. Edited January 10, 200818 yr by cletus8269
January 10, 200818 yr i think they tried that, the designers spontaneously cumbusted from sheer delight and joy. sort of like that joke of death skit from monty python. I'm thinking it would be cool if Cadillac had a two-tier approach to the sports sedans, like Audi with the S and RS models...have the 'regular' V-series super sedans and then above that the VZ-series which would be the ultimate, all out psycho models..
January 13, 200818 yr I think the exterior will look fine in person. Some of the pictures make it look awkward, but GM photographers suck. The interior is gorgeous.
January 13, 200818 yr Exactly what I thought...There is something very DBS-ish about that interior... I think it's the piano black finish on the centre console.
January 20, 200818 yr That car is absolute sex on wheels. I think it looks even more stunning in the vids of it I've seen on Youtube. Granted, I don't care for the drab gray color, but here's something I photoshopped right quick. A color scheme to my tastes :-P I'll take one.
February 27, 200818 yr does anyone else notice that the driver's seat is different than the passenger's seat in the dash photo??
