January 16, 200818 yr I found these pictures online today while doing a little surfing and wanted to share them here (not that many will care! ): If anyone wishes to buy me this as a belated birthday present, let me know and I'll send you the address of where the truck is and the address to my driveway!!!
January 16, 200818 yr I think I just messed myself. That thing is beautiful. Love the long bed with the regular cab much more then the short bed/regular cab configuration.
January 16, 200818 yr Interesting.. I don't think I've ever seen a longbed regular cab of the current HDs..didn't know they still built that combination (the trucks I see are all extended and crew cabs). I imagine the gas mileage would be hideous, though...
January 17, 200818 yr Very tough looking, GMTG. I'd like to see it in black with an extended cab shortbed.
January 17, 200818 yr Now THATS what I'm talking about! I really like the "traditional" regular cab, long bed combination.
January 17, 200818 yr Author Wow, that truck is awesome.. it'd be even better in black. Very tough looking, GMTG. I'd like to see it in black with an extended cab shortbed. What's that old saying? Umm, once you go black, you.... Ask and you shall receive: And Dark Steel Gray... And one Red so far:
January 17, 200818 yr WHOA! I like that first black one the best, as it is understated yet hot, except I'd have to have a 2500HD Duramax. All of them are Redneck Cool, though.
January 17, 200818 yr GMTG, that is some hot eye candy! That will get me through the day. Love the black CC! Thanks for sharing those pics.
January 17, 200818 yr Author Yeah, I like them all too. I've been seeing some newer "lifted" Fords and some '04-'06 Chevy Silverados around where I live, but no "lifted" all-new Sierras. I decided to do a Google Images search and the first one posted popped up. I, like 76chevytrucker, have always loved the "traditional" regualr cab, long bed pickup truck and if I had the money to own a one (not for family hauling usage), that's ultimately the style I'd go with. I'm not a big fan of the all-new Sierra HD's 4-bar grille (I like the regular 3-bar grille better), but with that truck lifted and those big wheels on it, it all blends in better. Interesting.. I don't think I've ever seen a longbed regular cab of the current HDs..didn't know they still built that combination (the trucks I see are all extended and crew cabs). Well, most of the regular cab, longbed HD's (GMC or Chevy) I've seen are owned by commercial businesses or as government vehicles (local & state highway depts, for example). I look through the free bi-weekly "Truck Shopper" magazine and see a lot of the HD, work tuck packaged regular cab/longbed models available through commercial GMC and Chevy dealers. I guess they're out there, just not very visible?
January 18, 200818 yr Well, I guess you have to think that most people are going to buy at least the extended cab mid-size bed trucks, so most reg-cab, long-beds are going to be for commercial or government-type work. Like me, I'd love to have a regular cab long bed (I just like having an 8-ft bed on a truck), but at the same time, I need room to put me, the wife, and the little girl, so I'll probably have to live with the extended cab, shorter bed (unless I can somehow order an extended cab, long bed).
