January 17, 200818 yr If we assume that I don't get to have my G8 ST after all of the dust settles, and the automotive world fills with transportation appliances, what should be the last hurrah? I mean should I buy a top dawg Camaro in some loud color and stripes? Or flip GM the bird and get a Challenger? Other ideas? The object here is something nasty, anti-social, fast, and in your face. Something that says to the appliance-driving world "bite me". If things go really badly, this will be my final new car purchase, so it needs to be something that will wade through the Toyotas and re-badged Opels like Katrina through New Orleans. Something that says "FU" loud and clear. Get creative, and pics are a plus. Have fun!
January 17, 200818 yr A Prius. Painted bright orange. With white stripes, Type-R, Z-28 and 454 badges. Big rear wing. Yellow wipers. Chrome '68 Camaro SS hood louvers on the hood. With chrome spinner hubcaps. Sparco seats. That would be badass. A mix-and-match of tuner and muscle car styling cues.

January 17, 200818 yr Umm, Moltar... I have to live with this thing... like, forever. Have some mercy! Sorry...I'm in a loopy mood tonight.....the insane idea behind the Prius came from a Chrysler 300M I saw a while back that had a '69 Mach 1 hood scoop and Type R Hemi badges..
January 17, 200818 yr RWD conversion of a W-Bod 2004+ Grand Prix or 2006+ Impala... and throw in a stick shift.
January 17, 200818 yr Author does it have to be a new car? you wannastand out? a Carousel Red Judge I was thinking new... Classics like that are almost too easy. Still...
January 17, 200818 yr Author RWD conversion of a W-Bod 2004+ Grand Prix or 2006+ Impala... and throw in a stick shift. 2 -doors only please
January 17, 200818 yr 2 -doors only please 2006-2007 Monte Carlo SS 5.3L? Edited January 17, 200818 yr by vonVeezelsnider
January 17, 200818 yr Hmm, go find a slightly used Pratt & Whitney radial engine out of something (hell anything from the past 60 years of aircraft could have one), and strap it into something wild....Think Camaro, or Challenger. You'd have one of the most ultimate torque engines (and it'd be REALLY loud).
January 17, 200818 yr Author 2006-2007 Monte Carlo SS 5.3L? Hmmm, with the RWD conversion and an LS7?
January 17, 200818 yr while i hate the wheels and most of the stuff from west coast customs, 2 dr charger??

January 17, 200818 yr I figured that loud would be good, that's why I said a P&W radial (think WW-II bomber aircraft engines), and strap it to a car, or truck.
January 17, 200818 yr Go for the Camaro. I know I have the wheels on my doomsday plan already starting to turn. I'm looking into ways I can save money as I'm going to college, so I can take out a loan from the bank that will allow me to do three things: 1.) pay my parents back for my Sonoma, 2.) buy my bare-bones, black '09 Camaro, 3.) and possibly even buy a '67 not to far from me as my project. So that puts me driving three cars (truck, rear-drive coupe, classic) that makes Congress's enthusiast-squashing hard-on shrivel and turn inward. Plus the investment on number three will pay me back tenfold what I invest into it. Edited January 17, 200818 yr by YellowJacket894
January 17, 200818 yr Author Alright, I'm going to hold my comments for a bit so you guys can go nuts with it.
January 17, 200818 yr One way ticket to OZ, FTW. I've got an even better one... Get a job as an assembly line worker for the Holden Ute and get one for free "One Piece at a Time" style Just think, you could be a modern day Johnny Cash with a psychobilly Maloo
January 17, 200818 yr How about some badass Chevy/GMC truck with a lift kit that would put a Hummer to shame
January 17, 200818 yr Author A lightly used BMW 645Ci, Merc CLK55, Jag XKR, or Maserati Coupe? Tempting... but I'd blend in around here. Have to have more Attitude than that. More down and dirty
January 17, 200818 yr I've got it! Go find a slightly "loved" military issue hummer, pull the existing GM diesel out of it, insert one Cat 3406 diesel, and give it the biggest lift and tires you can find.
January 17, 200818 yr You can always get the GMC "Ironhide" ... You will be loved by children and Transformers-fans everywhere. And reviled by environmentalists, and Go-Bots fans everywhere. Edited January 17, 200818 yr by Captainbooyah
January 17, 200818 yr I retract all my previous statements and have to side with booyah on this one. You could own Ironhide, what bigger thrill do you need than owning a Transformer (next to owning Optimus Prime in either of his semi-truck forms)
January 17, 200818 yr i might have to agree with XP on the CXT... how can anyone not stand out in this?! no? ford maybe? blacked out!
January 17, 200818 yr Challenger SRT8 in black, caarbon fiber hood stripes...425 horse, 6.1 liters of Americana and I suspect just as the original, it will be out sold by Mustang and Camaro sales. So it'll be somewhat more unique and thus even cooler.
January 17, 200818 yr One of these in black: With a rowdy cam in it. I'm talking shake the pictures off the walls of houses rowdy. Here's what your power/torque curves would look like with an ls3:
January 17, 200818 yr I'm not exactly sure, except for one thing: It needs to have Holden badges on it.
January 17, 200818 yr How about going old school on the new Camaro? swap out for a custom grill, custom honeycomb taillights, screaming chicken on the hood and badge it as a Pontiac Firebird or Trans-Am? The local B-P-G dealership probably won't appreciate it (come to think of it, neither will the Chevrolet Dealer...) But they'll remember you! :-) As a side note of curiosity... did anyone else first think of VISA when looking at the title of this topic?
January 17, 200818 yr I say buy a wrecked duramax turbo-diesel powered GMC/Chevy and drop some cake in the motor, then insert it between the front fenders of a '10 Camaro, then do a veggie conversion with a 20-gallon fuel cell. If it has to have a fixed B-pillar you might as well drive for free!
January 17, 200818 yr Well, you know... They do sell that RWD/V8 conversion kits for the Focus... Buy a ZX3, spend a few weeks frankensteining it in that awesome shop of yours, paint it a loud color with 18 to 19 inch wheels and voila.... Personally, I would go with the CXT as well!
January 17, 200818 yr Author I think I'm going to leave trucks out of it. I've actually got some ideas cooking. After all, Project Camino doesn't have an engine yet.
January 17, 200818 yr The Best- 12 Tatas. That is 12x35 = 420hp. From a 7.2L, 24 cylinder combo. Don't like it throw it. You can arrange them in series to tow trucks, cargo or any other thing. If you want to beat the crap out of a vehicle, that is the one, and it will cost about $30,000. Almost the same a ST would have cost.
January 17, 200818 yr theres actually more then one RWD 351 powered focus running around the island here.... what are the engine plans for project camino?
January 17, 200818 yr Author theres actually more then one RWD 351 powered focus running around the island here.... what are the engine plans for project camino? The plan was a ramjet350, but that might change
