My bizzaro film list

Featured Replies

I very rarely go to see a film and only really get excited about a very few generally. So, I thought I'd make a list of the one's that really hit me. Then you all can tell me how weird I am. :AH-HA_wink:

Soylent Green

Straw Dogs

Harold and Maude

Closetland (not what you think)

Better Off Dead

History of the world

Bagdad Cafe

Traffic

Apocalypse Now

Lord Of The Rings Trilogy

Star Trek series

Alien

Aliens

There's a taste.

I watch a lot of movies...probably 2-3 per week on average. As far as the bizzare and truly wierd, here's my list of some I've seen over the years and liked..

Delicatessen

Brazil

Mulholland Drive

Inland Empire

Lost Highway

Alphaville

Repo Man

Raising Arizona

Fargo

Wicker Man (original)

Blue Velvet

Dune

Wild at Heart

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me

I forgot about Repo Man! That should be on my list as well.

Blue Velvet was too strange even for me.

One more of mine:

Used Cars

Yeah, forgot about Twin Peaks! That movie left me speechless for a few days. :AH-HA_wink:

What about Donnie Darko?

Sometimes the communal wine proves too tempting for some!

That's why us Lutherans use grape kool-aid for the blood o' christ!

You betcha, Iris!

Miss American Teen princesess do not cross their legs like streetwalker...

excuse me miss Penthouse '98 put your knees together.... I could drive a boat show in there.

interviewer: Are you ladies going to the parade tomorrow?

very pregnant smoking teenager: Na, I think I'm like... due or something..

a few more:

Raising Arizona

Great movie, I used to watch it all the time as a kid and have it on DVD now.

Evelle: "These balloons blow up into those funny shapes and all?"

Old shopkeeper: "Well, no...unless round is funny."

Some movies I like that my generation really hasn't heard of:

At Close Range

Airheads

This Is Spinal Tap

Escape from New York

The Wraith

Blade Runner

The Running Man

Weekend at Bernies

Demolition Man

Poltergeist

Close Encounters of the Third Kind

The original 1974 'Gone in 60 Seconds'

And of course...Bullitt

Some good ones on that list.

I knew a guy in High school who was given the nickname "Pliskin" :AH-HA_wink:

Mustang, Poltergeist still freaks me out!

"The Running Man" is awesome, I like any Schwarzenegger (he's our governor and I still can't spell his name) movie from around that time including "Commando."

"Weekend at Bernie's" is hilarious!

The original "Gone in 60 Seconds" is also hilarious... at least I laughed when they would steal the Mustang, but then return it because the owner didn't have it insured!

Mustang, Poltergeist still freaks me out!

I will never, ever watch it (or any other scary movie like it)! A junior high teacher of mine once showed us some 'documentary' on poltergiests, ghosts etc, and it freaked me out so much that it scared me to be home alone for a week or so. So... I decided to never watch any of those movies...
