August 23, 200520 yr 2005 alone I've been very good to teh General: One of my students <who just got her license> - bought a 2005 Chevy Cobalt Coupe in January after asking me for advice(originally considering a Scion TC); Mom & Dad - bought a 2005 Saturn VUE AWD V6 in Febraury after asking for my assistance (originally looking for either a Jeep Liberty or Ford Escape); Sis & Bro-in-law - leased a 2005 GMC Envoy XL SLT 4WD in May after consulting with me (originally considered either a Honda Pilot or Nissan Pathfinder - both with 3rd row seats); Me & the Wife - leased a 2005 GMC Envoy SLT 4WD last Friday; My best friend - having owned a Nissan Maxima since 2001, was very impressed with my Envoy Saturday night that he went out and looked at them today; no '05s left, but bought a 2005 Buick Rainier CXL AWD instead! That's five sales I've brought to the General this year alone; unfortunately, I lost one sale - my aunt, who was looking at Chevy Equinox's but really wanted and got a Jeep Liberty. I need some commission or some free service on the new Envoy or a trip to see those new introductions that the auto media got to see a couple of months ago
August 23, 200520 yr I guess I owe GM something then... My dad is pretty much done with Chevy. I don't really say much to him about it as he never really takes what I say seriously... as if I know absolutely nothing. But whatever... If he's going to judge Chevy (and GM in general) on a used vehicle that was engineered and designed many, many, many years ago and is driven extremely hard... Then f**k him for all I care. But I did give Chevy one sale... My Grandma's Cobalt. If it wasn't for me (and the Employee Discount)... it would have been a used Cavalier. Yes, that's still a Chevy but its a crappy one and wouldn't have counted towards new 2005 Chevy sales. :P
August 23, 200520 yr I recently sold a co-workers mom on a Cobalt. The co-worker came to me and said basically: "my moms looking for a new car, but wont make a final decision till I get your opinion". Her top choice was a Cobalt sedan, and I gave my blessing. She is now extremely happy with her car.
August 23, 200520 yr The Cadillac/Oldsmobile/Pontiac dealer we bought our LSS and 99 Anniversary from gives 100 per car for any recommended sales. I think you need to buy a car from them first but its a actual signed contract.
August 23, 200520 yr Yup... sounds a lot like waht happens wiht my freinds and family, though to directly effect 5 sales in half a year is damn impressive!
August 23, 200520 yr Got one of my friends into a Chevy... Though I dont agree with the one he got. They got an Epica (Daewoo) and i'm afraid that they are going to leave with a bad image of the general. (because I dont trust those daewoo's)
