I'm not sure I'd call it a classic American muscle car, but its cheap and doesn't look horrible.

Along with Nova,Apollo, and Ventura, the Omega is a relative bargain in RWD V8 performance cars - especially when you go back a bit farther than '77.

I confess that I didn't follow the link to that particular car. I was just relating what I've noticed in watching the values of older cars lately.

I went back and looked, and that is a nice looking car. I had no idea that Olds ever used the F-85 name on an Omega.

If it were something that I could buy, restore and make some money off of, I would be cleaning out a space in the garage, but I really doubt this will be on the auction black at Barret-Jackson and incite a bidding war.

That's what's so great about the RWD Xbodies, you can still buy/build a vintage musclecar/ponycar without breaking the bank.
