January 24, 200818 yr A few days ago, I saw this Aston Martin V8 Vantage for $94k online. Just for fun I emailed the dealer to see what, if any, financing they offered. They said "oh sure we send people to this company all the time: http://www.woodsidecredit.com/ 12 year loans for exotics! Borrow $100k for about $1100/month! Perfect! I'm ordering my R8 right now...

Hey, I know some people who pull down 15k a month (after taxes) who would eat that up with a spoon. That said, they are also douchebags.
January 24, 200818 yr Author Hey, I know some people who pull down 15k a month (after taxes) who would eat that up with a spoon. That said, they are also douchebags. Heh....well...if they make that much then they don't really need that sort of loan.
January 24, 200818 yr That reminds me of the "Bad Credit? No Credit?" used car lot that advertises 8-year loans on used cars. We're talking things like '97 RAV4s and '01 Tauruses. Their slogan is "Home of the Lifetime Customer." Well no $h!, if you lok someone up for 8 years at 17% you've pretty much got them for a lifetime.
January 24, 200818 yr I'm a ford fan, but no way in hell could I sign on for 8 years with an 01 taurus. Now a crown vic, different story. the body style will still be the same after those 8 years anyways........ Edited January 25, 200818 yr by regfootball
January 24, 200818 yr $50/week over 8 years is about $20,000 and people apparently do this for fine used vehicles like Malibus and Tauruses. Guess if you're desperate, you'll do it.

Wow. that is just crazy.....I'll buy a 91 Escort, thank you very much...
January 25, 200818 yr The high end dealers in northern VA offer loans of 15,20,25 years for people who want to buy a $100,000 car but can't really afford it.
January 25, 200818 yr my dad briefly sold cars for a dealer that also financed high risk bad credit buyers. those folks would buy anything that they could manage to get approved on. and the guy sold it at outrageous prices and 20+ % interest. And he could, because these folks had already effed up their credit. One thing he did, he always made an extra set of keys for everything he sold. They miss payments, the car was very easy to 'repossess' that way.
January 25, 200818 yr yeah, I've seen that before too. That's why when I got the Impala, sure I paid a little more than what I should have for it, but I made sure that it wouldn't kill me payment-wise, or ruin the credit rating.
January 26, 200818 yr Definitely. Get two! Then I'd have four vehicles I could not drive, three who were stuck in the snow, and one that is mangled.
