January 31, 200818 yr Friend's mother has a `00 Neon that has been problem free since she bought it in `01. 1st gen's i'd be iffy on though. I've heard horror stories from a different friend who used to have one before he bought a LeBaron. Dunno what year it was though. They are fun to drive little cars. I test drove one when I was looking for my first car, but I'd never in a million years choose it over my Intrepid. Edited January 31, 200818 yr by Dodgefan

And the 98-99 were (somewhat )supposed to have avoided the headgasket isssue..... Best running one I've seen so far was a 96....

Though they are fun to drive... Why stop when you can take a 40mph turn? :AH-HA_wink:
