February 5, 200818 yr New Lancia Delta will be shown at the Geneva Show. I'm interested in American's reactions to this, as it is quite unique IMO. Autoblog entry.
February 5, 200818 yr Yep, I've had a soft spot for Lancias since the Ferrari V8-engined Thema 8.32 (which was not much bigger than this). The Ypsilon in particular I really like.
February 5, 200818 yr Author Yep, I've had a soft spot for Lancias since the Ferrari V8-engined Thema 8.32 (which was not much bigger than this). The Ypsilon in particular I really like. One of my favourite cars when I was growing up was the Thema 8.32! I'm not a big fan of the Ypsilon, but if this Delta is any indication, I'll like the new one due next year.
February 5, 200818 yr I had a soft spot for Lancia too and it is the 8.32 which is fascination part. However, lately their design seems to be more French than Italian. The front is little bit Jag, Chinese and French influence. The center stack for the Delta appears to be ordinary gives me vibe of S Type and previous generation Avalon.
February 5, 200818 yr it's no Aztec, but doesn't light my fire. If I'm going to go for a plebian italian automaker of questionable reliability, I'll pick Alfa Romeo.
February 6, 200818 yr it's gorgeous, alluring....it looks purposeful, strong, every line makes it so, a bold, necessary impact. i think one day we Americans [in general] will understand what makes these cars [hatchbacks specifically, Euro cars in general] so special is the fluidity of it all, it all fits in and looks right. It's oddly ironic that the headlights and front grille recall the Pontiac Gran Prix.
February 6, 200818 yr Love it! I've always kinda liked Lancias as well. What's the name of their (current, recent?) model with the kite-shaped headlights. Loved that one.
February 6, 200818 yr Looks nice. I loved the Lancia Thesis when it came out... YES!! That's the one!
February 29, 200818 yr Back looks just like the Murano? Looks more inspired by Lancia's own Thesis and Ypsilon models to me.
