not according to the order guide for 09

Too bad... I happen to think a 3.2L direct-injected ~270 hp G8 would rock, especially if mated to a six-speed automatic. More power, and more important, better fuel economy than the current 3.6. It's one more thing to tempt somebody away from the traditional V6 family sedan; most get 19/28 mpg, the G6 3.6 currently gets 17/25.

Or even better... the 2.0 DI 260 hp mated to a DSG?

I think your missing the point (??) the G8 is on the large side for a family sedan. Not mid sized.

When you go to small engine on this sized car it might not be as fuel efficient as you think...has to work hard to move all that mass around.

How about V6 diesel? Myself--a 304HP DI V6 with 6 speed auto would be great

I wish they would make bodyside moldings an option or bundled into an option package like the Charger does. Anything to dress up the rather plain dull sides of the vehicle.
