March 11, 200818 yr I just noticed something weird about the Camaro. Most cars, and even the concept, have their calipers behind the front rotor and ahead of the rear rotor. The production car looks to have its calipers behind both rotors. Here are some pics to compare: Production: http://images.leftlanenews.com/content/mar...08/camaro-9.jpg Concept: http://img2.netcarshow.com/Chevrolet-Camar...allpaper_09.jpg Is it weird that it's setup like that? The G8's is the same way, but the CTS's and Corvette's are setup like the Camaro concept. Edited March 11, 200818 yr by NOS2006
March 11, 200818 yr There is no real reason for placement of the calipers. 9 o'clock or 3 o'clock is the norm because they are easy to package. Usually the car manufacturers optimize the placement for better space. You know how crowded it is getting there considering 4-6 pistons, adding cooling devices, etc.
