Finally some REAL BRX shots...

don't be fooled by the mislabeled Equinox pics floating around...here is the real deal...

it's almost identical to the Provoq...prepare to be amazed.

BRX @ Leftlane

how about that grille?

Wow, this is shaping up to be a potentially very good-looking vehicle. So far, it looks great.

i agree. this could definitely be a success.

Note the pop-up nav screen in that side view shot. :P

I imagine the interior will carry over exactly as is from the concept, minus the blue ambient lighting and some of the gauge cluster details...

Well they finally got it right, it's not an Equinox this time. Looks good so far, that grill is interesting. If only i wasn't based off of a Chevy platform :nono:

i wouldn't be so sure about that... :scratchchin:

There is no Chevy on TE. Only this and the 9-4x.

TE is is Theta + Epsilon right? Both platforms are ones used by Chevy. No Cadillac should be sharing a platform or any part of the platform with an everyday car IMO.

I think TE is quite a bit more differentiated than you think. The fact that the Equinox is not on TE says something about the cost of the platform, I think. I'm sure Sigma probably shares something with Zeta and other platforms that Chevy uses. The Epsilon bits are EPII, so they are much improved over EPI. Perhaps I am wrong, but I think TE will be far superior to Theta, whether they share components or not. There's nothing wrong with sharing components as long as they are good and the platform is world class. If the platform is world class, I could care less if it's made out of paper clips.

BRX + 9-4 will be on Theta Epsilon, hence the TE designation for this architecture.

I am curious to see the differences between the Vue/Nox/Terrain (Theta) and the TE crossovers once the production models are all on sale.

+1 - you have to ask yourself about a shared component... does that say something bad about the Caddy... or something good about the Chevy? :)

exactly.

though the only disappointing bit for me of the BRX/Provoq have been the FWD proportions that give the front end a short hooded stance. This hurts the Land Rover LR4 in appearance just as it will hurt the BRX in appearing substantial and powerful, something a luxury car should always say imo.

I'm not sure how much of a problem that is in this class, though. The RX has a short hood and obviously it has no problem selling.

i wouldn't be so sure about that... :scratchchin:

I meant interior...fixed the original post.

I don't see anything in the interior besides what I stated that wouldn't be carried over.

and I'm saying the ambient lighting is already on the CTS...it's not that hard to make it blue..and those guages aren't that far from production reality...

The lighting running along the underside of the trim? The CTS has that?

Yes...check the website. it's really neat in person.

Woah...I stand corrected...I never noticed that recessed lighting on it before. That is awesome.

Fhow about that grille?

I don't like eggcrate grilles with only one horizontal bar; I think it looks kinda cheap. That's the biggest thing I didn't like about the Provoq concept, and it looks like it's being carried over to production.
