loud whine

Featured Replies

Sometimes when I start my 2000 Tahoe 5.3 there is a very high pitched whine from below the vehicle ,not always but sometimes after it has been running and good and hot?

OH, sorry, wrong thread. I saw 'Loud Whine' and thought we were talking about my ex-BF.

Mine whines too.. I think it's the supercharger. You don't have one of those gadgets do ya? Wait! is it a Turbonator?! :o

Seriously though, does the whine get worse when you turn the steering wheel? If so, you could be low on steering fluid.
