Ok, I'm a bit stumped on this one....

Last week, the wagon (93 Cav 3.1, 141k) would not start.

New battery, fuses, and the Alt tested fine.

Even with the new battery, the lights won't turn on, or the gauges won't even move.

The only things I can think of would either be: the starter, or I have a wire that went bad somewhere.

What is even worse is that my repair book disappeared. :banghead:

Does anyone know where there is a good guide for wiring to the engine for a 3.1? (cavalier)

I don't want to let this thing sit too long.... :(

Try this location Wiring Diagrams

Hopefully, you can find something there. Its a bunch of wiring diagrams.

If the lights won't come on, I don't think it would be the starter. Check out your battery wires and see if you might have a fuseable link that went bad.

Sometimes this just takes a multimeter, some patience, and a lot of determination.

Mights be a wire...maybe the wiring that connects the battery to the alternator?

Thanks.

I going to check that link out.....

Strange part was that this happened when we had a really warm day, then a really cold one -(like 60 to the teens/single)

So it looks like it might be a wire...

That is a good idea! I didn't even think of that...
