April 7, 200817 yr I saw a Yukon Hybrid out on a dealer lot today (sorry, no pics) but the damned thing had 8 hybrid badges. One on each front fender, on on each c-pillar, the big-ass graphic on the bottom of the doors (god I hate that, worse than the "IROC" on 3rd gen Camaros) then one on the tailgate and another on the back window. Jesus, Toyota may run a lot of "we're green" tv ads, but the f@#king Prius on has one hybrid badge.
April 7, 200817 yr The badges don't bother me, but the side decals are WAY overkill and almost seem aftermarket--like you weren't proud enough of the Hybrid and had to show more of it. At least they're dealer applied, not factory...now if the damn dealers would stop actually putting them on and ask the buyers. Kind of like front license plate brackets, which me most of all.
April 7, 200817 yr Author Check out the 360 exterior view here, it has all the badges and stickers and whatnot. I'm just shocked they didn't put one on the hood or roof. Guess they do have one on the windshield, didn't notice that at the dealer. Edited April 7, 200817 yr by Satty
April 7, 200817 yr I guess they are trying to scream 'WE ARE GREEN' even if it's an obese truck that barely gets 15 mpg..
April 7, 200817 yr Author Maybe they picked up the ricer mentality and started to believe that stickers add mpg?
April 7, 200817 yr Decal wise, they apparently show up with those not yet applied (i.e. just thrown inside like floor mats) and it's up to the dealer to put them on. OR, so I had read. Knowing dealers, of course, if it's there (plate bracket, sticker, etc.) the prep guys put it on no matter what.
April 7, 200817 yr i saw my first hybrid yukon the other day and almost peed myself laughing when i saw the HYBRID decal on the doors... reminded me of the south park episode when everyone drives hybrids...
April 7, 200817 yr Could be worse. The early GMT400s had an option for a giant 4X4 graphic that covered nearly the entire side of the truck. I hate stickers.
April 7, 200817 yr Did a bunch of searches but couldn't find a pic of that 4X4 sticker. I may have a brochure with a pic, I'll try to find it. Truly unbelieveable, it's a must see.

April 7, 200817 yr This? No, that's tiny in comparison to what Camino is talking about. I just saw one Saturday at a traffic light; I think it was an 1988 and 1989 only option that thankfully many people did not seem to go for. I found a picture, enjoy:
April 7, 200817 yr Whatever... if GM just made a hardtop they can put three freekin' corny emblems on each panel, these days emblems do not leave holes like back in the 50s/60s/70s so I can always just peel them off & toss them. Now as far as cheesy oversized stickers those are more hassle but a good heat gun and a few minutes with a credit card will take care of those.
April 7, 200817 yr Here you go Camino, this was in one of my books. Is this it? That's the one! Unfreakinbelieveable! ...and it was an extra cost option.
April 7, 200817 yr Okay.. I'm running at a resolution of 1920x1600, and that image didn't fit the width of my screen by far...
April 8, 200817 yr I was really hoping that god awful door script was for show cars only... *nods* Same here. And, who was the "bean counter" that approved all of these emblems? Do all those emblems not add extra cost to the vehicle? Geez....the "extra cost" excuse is what Ch#$r%*et used in axing the emblems on the 2006-2007 Celebrity/Lumina/monte carlo, as well as the reduced # of emblems on the previous years of that same generation. And, now, emblems are being ADDED in BULK??? Hmmm.....
