Maybe he bought that Jaguar after all and ended up in the poor-house as

a result of the repair bills, or perhaos mental hospital for same basic root

causes? I've got a few Jaguar hood ornaments amongst the hundreds of

emblems I've collected over the years. That's all the Jaguar I need.

I'd love to see my old '76 LeSabre featured in the "Project Car Chronicles".

Saddly I do not even know if Fly still owns the car.

Some lady dinged dinged his Aurora while loading her kid into a RAV4, and he just lost it. He slugged her and destroyed the RAV with a sledgehammer. Now I think he travels cross country sprinkling acid on the frames of 95-00 Tacomas and stealing third and fifth gear from every unattended Camry he sees.

Actually, this is one of the best car forums IMHO on the web. We have some people and their opinions, but still...

This place, Miatanet, and Grassrootsmotorsports.com are the only real web forums I like.

If you want stupidity, go to almost any of the Mustang Forums. (I say that and I am a big Mustang fan.)

If that's what it was, then it's been a long time coming. He was so irritated with certain posters, but he never really did anything about it, aside from a few pranks here and there. Keeping all that inside for so long maybe just caused hm to up and leave.

Yeah really, especially since he is one of the people who ran this site. When you're in a position like that you shouldn't just up and leave when you've got responsibilities like that. I'd just like to know has he's doing.

Yep, loved that car. I was pointing out that 68 says all of my posts are the same (go ahead, do a post search, see how many times I say "mullet") where the truth is that he only has about 4 posts that he re-words and puts into every topic.

B-59 and buying a '69 Camaro, inline-six with four on the floor.

If such a car was affordable and readily available.

The 69 Camaro was my dream car throughout ALL my childhood

and only in recent years replaced by pre-war V16s and the B-59.

FIRST before attempting to do anything too involved I need to

find/rent a cheap garage.

Having owned a 70 and a 71 Chevelle with no "B" pillar, I can see Sixty-Eights point.

like me a chevelle too but here lately buick GS's have been catchin my eye, there a local 1970 stage1 roaming the streets to boot i tried to get him to race but he just smiled... guess he didnt want to embaress me

Oh, no. I didn't mean haggling with them on eBay via an account. I meant looking for phone numbers, calling the seller, and making a cash offer over the telephone. If the seller is serious about selling what he wants to sell, I know that he will do business in whatever way he can.

I believe I will look for a first-generation Monte for my dad there as soon as I have a free moment.

I take plenty of brazen risks on used/classic/beater cars BUT

with eBay you're almost always guaranteed to be paying too

much, and or the car is not presented honestly.

I get some kickass deals on old school cars but for every

great deal you guys hear about, by the time I drag it home I

have usually looked at three or four other cars that are

complete $h!boxes or dishonestly advertised. Seems like

often times "can be daily driver" does not mean that the car

needs an oil change & a couple tires... instead the dumbass

trying to take your hard earned money will explain once

you get there to his house that the car needs a brake line

(rotted out recently ...in the fall of 2006) & there "MIGHT"

be a little bit of an oil leak in the rear main seal, OH and

there's a melted spark plug wire. Oh & the car has not been

driven since 2004, but it was started back in 2007, he let it

run for a half hour & then after it over heated I did mention

that before... right?

That's one of my biggest fears when it comes to buying a classic car like that.

One of my friends picked up a 73 skylark...and he has had quite a few issues with it....

It suprises me because he knows his stuff (dad owns a 64 Impy)

Makes you wonder...

I want a 60s or 70s GM car..something I can work on, and be able to enjoy....and not have to replace the whole engine....

Here is actually to keeping the B-59. That car is really unique and cool, and I personally would be very sad to see it go.
