Just bought an Aura XR

Featured Replies

Well, wifey did. Salesman friend of ours bid on smart auction and won a '07 Aura XR with 32k miles. Was a GM rental car. Berry red with black leather and moon roof. Auction noted some paint flaws, hope it look ok when they get it up to the dealer. I'm usually quit picky on my vehicles but when the wife drives over 30k miles a year it's hard to get too picky. It's gonna see a lot of the enviroment each day of her commute! Was a bit iffy about it being a rental (but may have been rented/leased to a business??) but 100k powertrain warranty has my nerves settled.

I really liked the powertrain and black leather option of the XR, but I suppose the XE would've been the ideal choice for her main use.

Will see if for the first time on Friday... only saw a couple shoddy pics of it from smart auction site. Will post those up when I get home.

Good luck with it. :)

My parents have mixed experiences with ex-rentals.

Berry Red you say? It is a very nice color for the Aura, if I do say so myself! :AH-HA_wink:

Congratulations on purchasing a very solid-built car! :)

Congrats. My next car will most likely be an Aura or a Malibu. I wish you and your wife many happy miles.

Congrats on the new Aura. My future daughter in law loves hers, and its been a great car, given her no problems.
