Wow, those are sweet looking cars!!! Where'd you find them, and how much did they cost? Are there more GM models available? Thanks!

They are a set of 6, I think. 2 colors of each in a release. There is one other GM, a '54 Chevy, but I didnt care for the color of the one I found (yellow & green). I will get the '54 Chevy in red if I can find it and the Black & Red Pontiac

Oh, yeah, I found them at Toys R Us for $5 each. Thats another reason I was picky about colors, since they are a bit more $$.

Oh they're made by Castline, cool, we've heard of that brand before. They look good, I love the Pontiac.

Thanks for the info Olds Guy. I was at my local TRU last Tuesday, and they didn't have any of these (though they had the Bandit series and the '89 Pontiac Firebird Formula; I passed even though I liked it). My TRU is a smaller one, so they don't usually get the good stuff until some of the bigger ones around me do. I will keep my eyes open for both the '55 Pontiac (gotta have at least one of them regardless) and the '53 Olds. Please keep posting your finds!

Well, I've searched at least four different Toys R Us stores with no luck. Even at the recent All-GM Nationals show in Carlisle I only saw the Chevy, Ford and Mercury cars for sale. I'm dying to find the '55 Pontiac in the Turquoise and White (my favorite '50s color combo). I'll continue to look whenever I'm at TRU, and in the end of July there's an outdoor toy show being held inside of Macungie Park (Macungie, PA outside of Allentown) and I'm sure I'll see some there (hopefully not too overpriced).

I finally found these cars, and of all places, at a Cracker Barrell restaurant/gift shop! I saw Release 2 at the All-GM Nationals show in June, but I prefer the stock look versus the rat rod/customized look. I found Release 3 (or was it 4?) cars - including the '57 Chevy Bel Air and '57 Ford Fairlane - two-three weeks ago, but not Release 1. The other night we went to Cracker Barrell for dinner and browsing the shop the little guy and I spotted these cars. I passed on the '53 Olds (wished it was a '56 or '57 instead), but got the '55 Pontiac in the turquiose & white color combo (what I wanted). Sad to say I paid more than $5 though ($9.99); but seeing as how long it took me to find it, I guess it was worth the extra coin.
