I just found this. Does anyone think I could get Tammy to agree with getting it??

68 Camaro

It would go so nice with my 71 RS/Z28 and the Skylark. I just need a much bigger garage.

Holy cow, priced right, nice color combo, looks to be a great car.

I think Tammy has a Chevy in her future!

You know that would make all 4 generations of Camaro at home.

68

71 RS Z/28

87 IROC-z & 89 RS convertible

95 Z/28

Bitchin.

I wish I still had my '68 Camaro.... but then it would NOT be getting

restored since I did not have that kind of money.

So long as this car is rock solid inside & out, esp. the rear stamped

rails and the sub-frame, then it's a good deal. Not exactly a steal

but then again all muscle-cars are overpriced these days.

Good luck, BUY IT!

...and it's not in your driveway yet???

Dangumit....buy it!!!!

Update.

I showed the ad to Tammy and she was all for going to check it out.

Well, the pics online are the best that this 68 looks. They gave it a new paint job all right, unfortunately, they didn't do all of the work that should be done first.

The interior is trashed, ripped seats and door panels, old faded carpet (no biggie)

The pax door has bad cancer, real bad. So much that a new door would be needed. The area near the hinges was just sad to see.

The trunk has a bunch of small holes. (Thats not a problem either, some Por-15 and a carpet would make me happy)

Their is cancer on the drivers side under the back seat. (found it when I crawled under the car)

The windshield cowl needs to be replaced, badly painted, rusty and holes drilled into it.

The fenders were painted with the hood closed so you can see the old color when you open the hood.

The tranny looks like it has a rear seal leak.

The engine did look good and sound good. It has a new exhaust system, except for old, rusted headers.

The glove box heads an insert and a locking mechanism.

NONE of the door or the trunk locks matched.

All in all, I was ready to walk away. I can find better deal, even spending more money on a nicer car would be worth it. But, they wanted an offer.

They looked upset when Tammy told them $13,000 tops. They dealer said he had $18,000 into the car and was selling it at a loss. RIGHT.

Oh well, there are others out there. I will say that if I find an early 68, you know with a build date actually in Nov 67, I would really find it hard to walk away.

You offered more than I would have.

Besides, I'd rather have an honest, clean, base coupe than any Fake (Cloned) SS anyway.

I took into account the local market and values.

The SS emblems would go very quickly. If I want to make an 'SS' clone, I will go all the way.

I am going to keep watching and looking. I want to find an early C3 Vette (68-72) or a 67/68 Camaro. I have plenty of time and have plenty of toys to play around with for now. No rush.

I have been keeping my eye on an early C3 convertible for a very long time now. If/when I have some spare cash I may make a play for it.
