Rosa Parks Has Passed Away

Featured Replies

Channel 2 news here in Detroit is reporting that the pioneer of the civil rights movement has passed on at the age of 92 years old.
I didn't realize she was still alive. But what a change she helped bring about. R.I.P. (I'll never understand people. For instance, before Rosa Parks... separate drinking fountains -- insanity! Where was the church all those years that should have spoke out against discrimination?)

...they were supporting it.
LOL @ Rosa Parks Highway... adopted by KKK. RIP, it takes balls to start a revolution. Paradigm shifts don't happen by temselves. We need people like Rosa to say *eff-this, I've had enough and now I'm taking a stand!*
except she DIDN'T say "F*** this" because she was a classy lady who used manners and therefore made more of an impact than being belligerant would.
RIP Rosa, She showed that civil disobedience can be civil and effective.

Hey Croc:

I would really appreciate it if you just stopped interacting with me. If and when you have something to say to me, just don't. Mmmm-kay?

A truly inspiring person who stood up for what she believed in and helped send a tidal wave of change throughout the nation.
