October 11, 200817 yr the local "rhodes" hit below $3 ..as a twist, usually they are the last to move prices down and first to raise prices.
October 11, 200817 yr Cheney. Bush, Should I go on? Why not? And aren't Buch & Cheney already in? How do they benefit directly? How does McCain?
October 11, 200817 yr Wont happen if McCain and his oil buddies get in. Obama thats more of a guess. Well considering i believe that Obama wants to increase taxes on oil companies... i would say your argument is fundamentally flawed.
October 11, 200817 yr Of course Obama isnt making money off the oil companies like some other people are.
October 14, 200817 yr When I left Pennsylvania on Friday to come home, the cheapest I saw was $3.19. Yesterday, I paid $2.95, and it's still coming down. That makes my interstate commute a little bit easier.
October 14, 200817 yr Author One gas station around here had gas for 1.99 for a while... 2.89 is what most stations are at now....
October 14, 200817 yr It reached under a dollar per litre in Toronto! First time in a year!!! :sign0200: Drive it like ya stole it!!!
October 15, 200817 yr Yesterday it was $3.04 in Asheville. Today it is $2.94 Still around $3.39 here in Charlotte (Don't know why.. It's usually cheaper here than in Asheville)
October 15, 200817 yr Around $2.79-2.89 here in Cedar Rapids for 87, but Des Moines is down around $2.59 from what I hear. My dad travels through there a couple times a week and there is a truck stop that is usually lower than anywhere else in the state. The Cedar Rapids-Iowa City corridor seems to have the highest prices in the state...I have no idea why.
October 18, 200817 yr $2.18 at a station that just opened and promised to start a price war. Rumor has it they're willing to go as low as $2.06.
October 24, 200817 yr One station is clinging to $2.18, the rest are in a price war, $2.12 and $2.11, but it seems to change.
October 24, 200817 yr Wholesale is down to $1.479. Theoretically, that should equate to about $1.90 at the pump.
October 24, 200817 yr When I was out earlier, a station that was charging $2.12 was empty while one charging $2.11 a block away was packed. Herd mentality or people thinking they're saving money?
October 25, 200817 yr $3.29/gal for premium - apparently gas stations are reluctant to lower prices, because they paid a lot more for the stuff still inside their tanks.
October 25, 200817 yr Author Most stations are still at 2.59 here... Though two are battling out at 2.10....
October 25, 200817 yr $2.55 here. Luckilly, Brookville has the lowest prices in the area for atleast a 50 mile radius. Dubois, 18 miles east, has prices that are consistantly about $.25 higher. I'm just waiting for sub $2/gal. gas. That will certainly be a huge relief for me.
October 25, 200817 yr Please remember to cover your keyboard with saran wrap first. .... and take pictures!
October 25, 200817 yr Author Please remember to cover your keyboard with saran wrap first. It took me a minute to figur what you guys were talking about....
October 25, 200817 yr Well, it was $2.55 at Tom's, but I passed them by for curiousity's sake, only to go to Wawa, which is kinda outa my way, and it was $2.59. So I paid $2.59 today.
October 26, 200817 yr Author One station dropped to $1.99, I was excited, had to text all my friends. Have not seen that yet...
October 27, 200817 yr Author I'm just barely seeing $3.15 here. Still? I figured you would be at 2.99 by now.....
October 28, 200817 yr $2.43 here. It's going down cent by cent. It might eventually dip below $2/gal. here like other places. Goddamn Missouri.
October 29, 200817 yr Diesel dropped 24 cents from Friday to Monday ($3.35 -> 3.11). 87 was $2.22 @ one local station.
October 29, 200817 yr At the Chevron near my grandmother's house, diesel is now the same price as 87 regular... $2.99/gal.
