Holden will relaunch the Rodeo as the Colorado in July via a cosmetically facelifted model that is now on sale in Thailand as the Chevrolet Colorado. Featuring a new front bumper and interior trim, it will swap the Chev bow-tie logo on its grille for Holden’s lion mascot.

So looks like they won't be importing the Colorado from Brazil and the pictures of the Thai Colarado don't look like US model. I wonder if the Thai and US Colarados are close relatives?

The NA Colorado and the Thai Colorado are essentially the same truck. Basically, think of the Thai Colorado as a NA Colorado with a MCE.

Wheelbases vary, even between Thai and export versions. GVW and payload varies (Thai trucks are typically 1-tonners). Powertrain is also different, an old Family II 2.4 L, a low-power HFV6 and Isuzu diesels. Otherwise it is the same truck, with a recent MCE. The Brazilian Colorado doesn't arrive for a few years yet, and GM will probably build it in Thailand for Asian, European and Pacific markets. The Colorado is assembled in other Latin American plants (sometimes as the Chevy LUV), but Brazil still builds the S10 with a Brazilian diesel from Navistar and a Flexfuel version of the 2.4 L engine used in the Thai-built trucks.

They are related and stem from the same platform, although the Thai model Colorado (essentially an Isuzu D-Max with a different nose) has been around for two years longer and sits on a five-inch shorter wheelbase than the equivalent US Colorado in both standard and extended cab variants. It is also about half an inch narrower than the US Colorado, and despite looking the same, uses a different bodyshell, most evident in two-door models in side profile. It also uses a variety of different engine units (notably Isuzu diesels) and suspension. In 2008 the Thai Colorado was given a more conservative looking nose and other updates.

The European market is not exclusively Isuzu Rodeos. In the UK we get the Isuzu D-Max as well as the Chevrolet Colorado and LUV models as I have pictured. The LUV has been sold in the UK since 2001.
