CADILLAC TOP BRAND, GM HAS 11 CATEGORY WINNERS IN AUTOPACIFIC AWARDS .... Cadillac was named the top brand among all sold in the U.S., and eleven GM vehicles were the top in their categories in AutoPacific's 2008 Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA).

The awards were based on the results of AutoPacific's 2008 model year vehicle satisfaction research that measures how satisfied an owner is with their new passenger car or light truck.

The brand with the highest satisfaction rating is Cadillac. The vehicle - car or truck - registering highest overall satisfaction in 2008 is the new Toyota Sequoia Large Sport Utility Vehicle. The passenger car with the highest overall satisfaction score is the Mercedes-Benz S Class.

GM's other vehicles that rated highest in their category are: Cadillac CTS - Aspirational Luxury Car; Cadillac DTS - Large Luxury Car; Chevrolet HHR - Image Compact Car; Saturn Sky - Sports Car; Cadillac Escalade EXT - Large Light Duty Pickup Truck; Chevrolet Silverado HD - Large Heavy Duty Pickup Truck; Cadillac Escalade/Cadillac Escalade ESV - Luxury Sport Utility Vehicle; Buick Enclave - Luxury Crossover Sport Utility Vehicle; GMC Acadia - Large Crossover Sport Utility Vehicle; HUMMER H3 - Mid-Size Sport Utility Vehicle; and Saturn Vue - Mid-Size Crossover Sport Utility Vehicle.

There are twenty-eight Vehicle Satisfaction Award categories. At the manufacturer level, multiple top-ranked award winners include: General Motors (eleven categories), Toyota (nine categories), Ford (six categories), Volkswagen (four categories), Honda (three categories) and Hyundai (two categories).

"Cadillac wins the Vehicle Satisfaction Award as the top brand in a close race. Strong satisfaction performance by Cadillac cars and trucks has Cadillac winning over other leading luxury marques including Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW," says AutoPacific President George Peterson. "Top ranked finishes by Cadillac's Escalade, CTS and DTS helped cement their industry topping position."

Additional information can be found on AutoPacific's website: http://www.autopacific.com

Cadillac DTS - Large Luxury Car

Nice to see the big win, although I have to agree with FOG. Also nice to see the car I aspire to above all others on the list.

I don't pay much attention to these types of awards, but I guess any 'win' for GM these days is a good thing.
