June 1, 200817 yr Yep, with thunderstorms and all, today I officially graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. It's been a long road, but I'm finally done! It was quite a ceremony, they actually had John Kerry speak too (he's quit e speaker). Then my family went out to eat...and then I got home and slept...way to party! haha Edited June 1, 200817 yr by Dodgefan
June 1, 200817 yr Congrats! I just did exactly the same, from college, 2 weeks ago! Now, if only I had a better ideal plan of what I was doing, and were already on it... All the best for you now...the first few days are a blur and it doesn't seem possible, then seems like it never happened--or at least did for me! Plans now?

All the best for you now...the first few days are a blur and it doesn't seem possible, then seems like it never happened--or at least did for me! Plans now? Congrats to you too! Actually, I already got a job that I start Monday. I'm going to be doing a website for a company in Melrose. It's a 1-2 month gig but it's full time and will make a nice addition to my resume/portfolio. Oh and I plan to use it and some of the graduation money to finally buy myself a good camera...and maybe some wheels for my car, and tend to some of its needs (compressor, oil sending switch)
June 1, 200817 yr Sounds JUST like me. I've been putzing around for 2 weeks, but start Monday back with the company I've interned with at home (technically, was a real employee in responsibility...just intern in theory) in construction & architecture/design. Now just as a full-time employee, officially, and all those perks. Wasn't my plan, as a graduating mechanical engineer from a top tier college, but nothing else yet worked out, so salary and benefits doing something for the time being isn't a bad thing. Best of luck...for both of us
June 1, 200817 yr Author Congrats DF, hoped I helped in some small way! Sorry I couldn't make it up there. I'm planning for a cookout in 2 weeks, it's a chance to "Redeem" yourself.
June 1, 200817 yr I will have to give that some thought, it's pretty close to when I have my surgery.
June 1, 200817 yr Congratulations to all of our graduates. It's going to be a heck of a summer for you guys, thinking about your futures. Hey Borger, can't you wait a little longer to have that worthless thing cut off? Go to DF's cookout! :AH-HA_wink:
June 1, 200817 yr Wooohooo, congratulations DF!!! & EDIT - congrats to caddycruiser and to DetroitNut90 as well Edited June 1, 200817 yr by ZL-1

June 1, 200817 yr We got high schoolers in here? Y'all are BABIES! Show some respect, sir. Your future is in our hands.
June 2, 200817 yr Author Show some respect, sir. Your future is in our hands. Yup, and you know what that means: You guys are f@#kED.
June 2, 200817 yr Yup, and you know what that means: You guys are f@#kED. From what I've seen from many of the high schoolers I've worked with, many of whom have graduated by now... I mean... I only graduated HS 7 years ago myself, but there's been a huge paradigm shift since then. I don't completely blame you guys though... I know enough about the system. I congratulate you all for surviving it.
