Fascinating wagon

Featured Replies

So I was scanning eBay today and came across this: LINK

I'll have to keep my eye on it. A far cry from the '85 Buick Skyhawk wagon I borrowed from my dad in my early driving years, but I still think it's cool!

Wow, what a beauty! I was | | this close to buying a green on green 1970 Bonneville wagon, but couldn't come up with the money fast enough. Guy sold it the day before I had the cash. Ah well, I'll have to find another some day...

That is super sweet- I would prefer a '67 over the '68 (funkier), but that is a hot wagon. I'm going to have to pick one up someday- I eyeballed a '64 Cat last fall... was really tempted.

Cool, if you can afford the gas... (maybe 12 mpg?)

Well, I already have a '68 Bonneville Conv with the same drivetrain, so gas mileage etc are know quantities. However, this one might be a more "dog friendly" classic...my German Shepherd is banned from the convertible.

While semi-lame to acquire a 2nd '68, the part interchange and familiarity (and boatload of spare parts in my basement) make it an appealing option...also that it's only 2hrs away.

I need to do some more research.

Collecting multiple of the same year or generation of a model is fun....my parents had (Mom has them now) 3 '67-68 Cougars w/ 3 different engines (289,302,390), 3 different transmissions (3spd manual, 4spd manual, 3 spd auto), different trim levels (2 base, one XR-7). My brother has 3 '79-85 Mustangs ('79 Indy Pace Car, '82 GT, '85 GT).

I have my '87 Mustang GT and '69 Mustang, but I'd like to add an '86 LX 5.0 notchback and '70 Mach 1 eventually..

'maybe 12' is definately too low: my '64 389 Cat got a steady 14 (clocked every tank over 2 years) with the RHM- THM should be a smidge better. I was also VERY heavy on the gas in that car.

My mom had a '70 Pontiac Catalina wagon, then a '74 Chevy Bel Air wagon (455 I'm told), then a '78 Buick Century wagon [much like your Regal] -- ALL were some shade of green. My mom went off script and got an '83 LeSabre sedan when the Century was traded, so my dad got the '85 Skyhawk when it came time to trade in his '80 Buick Skylark (canary yellow!) Thankfully, the Skyhawk was light blue.

Being a child of the 70s I guess you develop a fondness for wagons...

Awesome wagon...sure would be neat to have!

The Pontiac is just a better looking wagon than the other B-bodies of this era. She's a beauty, I'd snatch her up if I could.

Are you high bidder?

I was at the end of the auction. I'll see if he relists it. He never sent the pictures I asked for. Or I may take a field trip to check it out in person.

Go look at it in person, if all checks out make him a cash offer on the SPOT. :)

It's not perfect, but it's still gorgeous. Rallye IIs, black, you may never find another this nice or cool. Life is short- why deny yourself ?? Go git it.

I'm torn ever since I found this on eBay. I didn't win the auction, but the winner was a dealer who appears to be doing some work to it, so I've been watching their website waiting to see what they do to it and what they list it for... :scratchchin: And I don't have a barn to get both!

What in the blue blazes ?!? - a potential 3rd B-59 here on C&G ??? What sort of Pandora's Box have I opened ?

An Invicta 2-dr hardtop; you have excruciatingly good taste, sir!

Yup, you sucked me in. :AH-HA_wink: So, I find the wagon interesting but that particular Invicta really captured my attention...hence my hesitation on the wagon. If the Invicta gets worked over a bit at the dealer that bought it, then that'll same me some effort. It's also located close enough where I could personally inspect it prior to purchase vs. on eBay it was located a ways away and they didn't have a picture of the trim tag, etc so I couldn't decode what I was dealing with. I check to see if it's been listed for sale often!
