Holden Again Revisits the Torana

There is more speculation than substance in that story.

A senior executive from Holden's parent company General Motors recently revealed that a petrol-electric Commodore hybrid was set for 2010.

I know. That bit about a zeta hybrid jumped out at me. Haven't we been told that zetas are getting canceled due to fuel economy concerns?

Well if there's a Torana, hopefully that means there will be a RWD G6 coupe and sedan next time around. This rumor of a rebadged next-gen Malibu as the next-gen G6 is plain STUPID.

The Torana is a brilliant concept that should already be in production and on sale globally.

I'd love to see it happen.

But is there room at Elizabeth? From what I understand, there isn't, so either a new line would have to be built (do they even have room?) or exisiting production capacity for the Commodore would be cut.
