Wow, a total time capsule. 80's cheese did have an influence over the legendary Z, as we can see, but she's still somewhat the stunnah.

Wow..that's in nice shape. I haven't seen a decent one of those in many years. In the '80s-90s in Arizona, my sister was a real Z fanatic--she had a '77 280Z, followed by an '82 280 ZX, followed by an '85 300ZX 2+2 and lastly a '90 300ZX turbo. Then she moved to Boston and bought a SAAB Turbo.

Jeez Fly, where you been? You just get out of jail or something?

Welcome back Fly, stick around for a while, the whole place has missed you.

Nice! Does it have any restoration done to it, paint, interior? It looks so new/clean!

Fly is alive?

And the Datsun is an auto? What a letdown.

I just love that car, and the earlier version of that car.

The three Japanese cars that I really, really love...

First gen 240Z car

First gen RX-7

First/Second Gen Miata

That Z is an awesome driver, and my kind of car, auto non-withstanding.

That being said, I've been looking at a couple of Aurora's.

Maybe we have more in common than I thought...welcome back, Fly!

am i the only one who saw he posted and did a major double take?!

NO!

I spotted a post from him in this thread:

...and, so naturally, I had to see if he had posted anything else the same day...and sure enough...found this thread!

Holy cow, FLY...it is great to see you back!!!!

1980s Z-cars are cool and I'd buy a cheap one but

compared to the early original 1970s 240Zs they

are actually quite ugly and disproportioned.

Noting says "cheesier than a 1978 two door Ford

Granada with a carriage top" than a late 1970s or

early 1980s 2+2 Z-car.

Although I never was successfull I always wanted

to score these rims for my Maxi-pads. Oh-well.

My Datsun experience is probably over, unless a

ridiculous cheap one comes along I'm buying

GM intermediates for my "super-MPG-beaters"

from now on, I wish I still had my '62 Buick with

its thunder-down-under fireball six.

Sold to a gentleman in Louisville, KY. Time to drive a 2002 Axiom XS now.

Sooo, Fly.... great, Datsun, dealer plates.... wow.

Seriously the $40,000 question is: what the heck

happened to make you stay away for so long?

And with no precedent?

A close personal matter involving my family. I'm not really in the spirit to go into details right now, but suffice it to say that things are on the upswing.

Sorry to hear about that Fly, but It's good to hear that things are finally on the up and up.
