I usually quote the text from the article, but this is clearly not on Epsilon II. TE/Theta Premium is the platform here. It looks good so far--finally some new product for Saab, but is it too little, too late?

So it's safe to assuem this is basically the same as the concept, except for the bumpers and interior details... right?

Pretty much. I like it. However, what they need is cars, especially these times of high fuel prices.

I don't think the fuel econmy loss compared to the NG 9-5 will be that significant. But their core market are cars, and the 9-5 is taking too long. Also, I think it was www.automotorsport.se that reported the NG 9-3 (200x? It's taking a little too long...) will be built in Rüsselheim, Germany; and that it would share its production line with the NG Astra. Having the 9-3 on DeltaII and the 9-5 on EpII makes sense.

Interior shots added to first post! Looks very promising.

Interior reminds me of the A6 interior, but more rounded. I really hope the radio/display/whatever it is isn't actually recessed like that...

I loved this concept from the start, so im glad that the pics seem to suggest that there wont be much difference between the concept and the real thing. But in a world where small cars are taking over and fuel prices are picking off suv's one by one, im more anxious to see how the production 9x concept is going to look.

The GM crossover trio of Cadillac, Chevy, and Saab is going to be very nice!

And GMC with the Terrain.

What's the deal with the Opel badge on the steering wheel?

Very nice and distinctly Saab. Glad to see that the interior continues and refines themes seen in previous Saab interiors.

All I see is Seas of Cheap Plastic. At least throw some wood veneers in there to make it seem more pre-GM SAAB

This is a prototype and not representative of the finished product.

The exterior is a yawner like any Toyota or Asian product in general today. And I would think that with todays fuel prices that cars with 30 and above mileage ratings would be more beneficial to the brand.
