Nah. According to the owner, the turbo installation is still being developed, so not all the plumbing is fitted. The "What's Wrong" bit is bigger than that.

Someone swapped a turbo-4 into the engine bay of a Ferrari?

I was going to say those $h!ty welds on that box at the front. They look pretty but no penetration.

For some reason the box looks like aluminum to my eye... besides the fact it's painted- how are you gauging weld penetration, cm?

Yep. Some guy in Germany with a Ferrari 348 pulled the Ferrari engine (and sold it complete with all additional parts like ecus, wiring, MAFs, Alternator, Fuel Injectors, Cats, exhaust manifolds for 4500euro) and replaced it with a turboed 2 litre Opel 4 cylinder.

The bead of the weld is resting on top of the stock and not flush. There wasnt enough heat to get the pool of metal needed to fuse the entire thickness together. Instead there was only enough heat to melt the filler rod and probaly about 15% penetration of the metal resulting in the bead being that raised off the stock. To me it looks Tig welded. Normally the welds that look $h!ty hold the best. I have a couple certifications from the Hobart Institute of Welding to back that up.

What an Idiot though...

Is he doing this to avoid the big engine tax over there? since its now a 2L engine?
