July 5, 200817 yr I've been getting this error message intermittently the last few days.. wtf? This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota Please contact this site's webmaster. Wait a few minutes and use your browser's "Back" button or click here to try again. If you are the webmaster, your account may have gotten this error for one or more of the following reasons: * Your account has used more than its share of the cpu in the past 60 second sliding window. * Your account has too many concurrent processes running simultanously. * Your account has consumed too much memory. * Your site was recently very busy trying to run inefficient scripts. The solution would be to optimize your applications to use less CPU. Adding appropriate indeces to your SQL tables can often help reduce CPU. Using static .html documents instead of painful .php scripts will practically eliminate CPU usage.
July 5, 200817 yr yeah, I've been watching it at the server level but I haven't had much free time lately to look into it very deeply. There are errors being thrown in the logs that I believe are related. I don't think it's a hosting issue like last time.
July 5, 200817 yr I got those messages a couple times last week from my home computer. While we are on the subject, how come nobody seems to be able to open my 'attachments' any more. I posted a pic the other day and OCN was deeply disturbed that others couldn't see my attachment.
July 15, 200817 yr We're having database problems. This is internal to C&G. Expect to see a downtime announcement soon.
July 18, 200817 yr I think our host hasn't fully recovered from the lightning strike earlier this week. I've seen them reboot the entire server at least twice now. We've started getting weird error messages in the server logs. I know one of the reboots was to fix an Apache <webservice> error and the error messages in the logs started after that. I'm keeping an eye on it, but I don't think it's anything to do with our database or website.
August 30, 200817 yr It's not from the host, it's when the web-site is being backed up. When I do back-ups of the gm source my site goes down and the same error is displayed. The back up overloads the server. Trust me, it's normal.
November 13, 200817 yr In case this happens again, there's a way to pause the backup when the CPU is straining.. This is not normal and should not happen.
