Wow, I'm going to miss Dave and all that he did to take the Corvette to world-class status. I've read the book All Corvettes Are Red many times and it amazed me what he had to go through to get the C5 out under the old GM product development system. It's cool that Tom Wallace gets the Kappa cars in addition to the Y-cars as his new job, so maybe this means that future Kappas will get even hotter than what is already coming next year. Lori Queen gets small and midsize trucks, but who is going to take over her old job for small cars?
Wallace has some HUGE shoes to fill. Gonna miss ya, Mr.(King Of The)Hill.

Agreed. Hopefully Wallace will measure up.
I met Dave a the NY Auto Show this year in front of the Trailblazer SS. He was chatting with the booth girl. I was hessitant to just walk up to him and say "Hi", but did anyway. We talked about the Z06, he knew CheersandGears (of course) and he started talking about blogging since he was just getting started on the FastLane blogs. I'm at a car show talking to a guy who regularly shakes down Corvettes at the 'Ring about blogging. I'm a nerd. Dave's influence will be missed.
Wasn't this something to be expected. I thought I remember him stating that he wanted this last Corvette to carry his legacy.
