Illustrated: Chevrolet Corvette C7
Left Lane News' new rendering of what they think the C7 will look like. At least they aren't saying it's mid-engined.

As reported over the weekend, an apparent Chevrolet Corvette concept car will appear in the forthcoming “Transformers 2″ movie. Based on the spy photos of the concept on the movie set, our artist has created an illustration of how the show car might influence the next-generation C7 Corvette.

Given the concept’s massive wheels, exaggerated exterior, and extremely low roofline, there’s almost no way the production C7 Corvette will look exactly like it. However, we don’t think GM has created this concept for no reason at all.

With that in mind, we’ve created a speculative illustration of the production C7 based on the concept. It has small LED headlights that create a similar effect to the hideaway lamps of yore, and the overall styling is a fusion of new and old design cues.

It’s too soon to know exactly what the C7 will look like, but we think many of the design cues seen here will make it to production.

Actually, I kinda like it. That said, I really don't know how an XLR could be successfully differentiated.

It has a certain element of insanity to it. I like that!

The front end could use work but overall I like it.

The body doesn't look too bad, but that face is atrocious.

Straight from the Senseless Ginsu School of Design. No Way.
