October 27, 200520 yr I just picked up a black 2GB Nano and dear god this thing is small. It makes my iPod Mini look huge. I haven't had a chance to really play with it yet, waiting for it to charge.
October 27, 200520 yr As much as I'd like to have one because of the coolness factor, I just don't NEED it. Yeah, I can store 1,000 songs on it, but I'm still only going to listen to the same 3 over and over again. :P
October 27, 200520 yr Author I got the cheap one, 2GB, about 500 songs. My Mini is 4GB, holds 1000 songs, I dont think I've ever had more than 400 on it at any time. And I dont really need it (definately dont need two) but I like being able to listen to music anywhere. Plus they're cool.
October 27, 200520 yr I have a MPio player that is smaller than the Nano but it only has 256 mb internal memory. I added a 512 card. The number of songs they brag about depends on the compression chosen. I can only get about 50 songs on the internal memory and another 100 or so on the card - which is the equivalent of 10 Cds or so. Still, the size is important when jogging or at the beach. I am looking at the Nano, though so I don't have to keep moving the songs around or deleting them. I could never go back to a Cd Walkman.
October 27, 200520 yr Author One problem with the Nano, its too damn pretty to use like I used my Mini. I dont want to take it running/biking because then it might end up looking like my Mini does now. Plus the screens on the Nano are supposedly easy to scratch.

If you like your stuff to remain shiny, I'd get a carrying case (if they make them), as your fingernail is enough to scuff the finish on it.
October 27, 200520 yr I've got a mini which I use in the car and a shuffle I use for running. The nano is sweet, but I don't need one, and my Mac is an older one without USB 2.0 Filling 4 gigs up on regular USB would be like a musical taffy-pull.
October 27, 200520 yr I love my click wheel ipod...i have all 2500 songs on it too, and i actually listen to them all. some much more frequently than others...but i do listen to them all.
October 27, 200520 yr Many panel members liked the new speedometer in the 2006 Honda Civic, saying it made it easy to observe the car's speed without taking their eyes off the road. Well, I would have a hard time keeping my face out of the barf bag!

It has savet the finish on my mini many times over.
