It's a hot car. Kinda sad other convertibles of the era seem to ahve so little collector value. I've seen really nice Sebrings from the era at give-away prices.

Well it's not a car that I really have any interest in, but I know that Oldsmoboi likes them and it is local to me - so I thought I'd post it.

Price seems very good to me.

if only it was RWD.... and I HATE "car bras" they're lame on EVERY level.

Those things are sort of like the plastic seat covers of the 50s and 60s: basically silly.

It's not bad as a get around town car... but the 3.1 was a slug in the regular coupe, I can't imagine what'd it'd be like in the heavier convertible. The convertibles with the DOHC V6 would please all except the most diehard of RWD fans on this forum.

Bras are lame and ruin the pain by trapping moisture,

leaving fade-lines and worse still scratching up your

car worse than the scratches they were supposed

to prevent.

PLastic seat covers, chessy or not, PROTECT a

delicate or expensive interior without hiding it...

just don't weat shorts in the summer. OUCH.

My '64 Olds' metallic stiched, 99% mint interior

would have received clear plastic seat covers

had it not been for me selling it.

Although throw a 5-speed into the

mix and i just might bite if it was

cheap enough. With today's gas

prices a fruity four-cam V6 with a

manual might persuade me to get

it for a daily driver, then flip it as

soon as you'd find that one

Have you ever ridden in or driven one of thoe Sebrings? I used my parent's '96 LXI as a daily driver for almost a year, and I can tell you that no price is too low. Someone would have to pay me to take one of those worthless $h!boxes. Anyone who buys one with real money is a fool.

Never driven one, but seeing nice clean ones for $1500 with less than 100k made me think.

Rented a 1998 in 1998. With 3,000 miles on the clock it stalled out in a Florida toll booth and wouldn't start again for a few minutes.

Sadly. Oldsmobile never made a DOHC/5-speed/Convertible combination. The 5-speeds were Coupe and Sedan only.
