July 23, 200817 yr Again- info missing, great quantities. Where are the friggin' dates?? >>Hyatt Roller Bearing Headed by Alfred P. Sloan, Jr., Hyatt quickly became a key supplier to the booming auto industry in the early 1900s. Sloan sold his company to United Motors in 1916 and was immediately hired as that company’s president. Two years later, it was acquired by GM and Sloan was made a GM vice president. Hyatt ended up reporting to various units with GM over the following years and Sloan was elected president of GM in 1923.<< When & where was it founded? When was it disbanded, absorbed, and by whom/what? Make anything other than...um... roller bearings?

July 25, 200817 yr Again- info missing, great quantities. Where are the friggin' dates?? isn't that what wiki's are about... they are incomplete untill people fill in the gaps and are agreed upon because of evidence.
July 25, 200817 yr True, loki... takes a lot of time & research tho... and a lot of the early stuff was never appreciated to the point where good records were kept. I've been reading up on the founding of Buick- the earliest info is still being uncovered.... 100+ years later. I'd charge right in and add Hyatt dates.... if I knew them. I'll have to check Sloan's book... Perhaps I will delve into GMnextwiki.... Lord knows I've spent many evenings straightening out wiki's car entries....
July 26, 200817 yr Author I like the little personal stories of people who worked at GM over the years. Very interesting. It gives a peak inside the car building process.
