August 13, 200817 yr Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum, I'm Marc and I'm from Denver. I drive a 2004 Silverado Z71 and I love it. My wife has a 2001 Blazer, but we're going to be retiring that one soon for an Avalanche. Looking forward to hanging out with y'all here on the forums.
August 13, 200817 yr Welcome vader33 (love the name and the fact you're a GM truck person too!). Hopefully some of the nut jobs around here won't scare you away!!
August 13, 200817 yr 0MFGzzzzz! a n000bbb!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Wow, now that I got that out... Welcome to C&G! I'm NOS and I'm one of your resident Cobalt SS/SC owners.
August 13, 200817 yr Welcome, Marc. I hope you enjoy your stay here. We're a friendly bunch of crazy characters.
August 13, 200817 yr Hi Vader 1/3rd of a 100: I am one of the nutjobs that GMTruckGuy was talking about. Your two BOF, RWD, GM-made trucks* seem to paint a good picture though, as does your (great) choice of an Avalanche for a future product. Trading in a 4.3 V6 for a (4.8/5.3/6.0/8.1 liter) V8 means you mean business! Welcome, fellow GM fanatic. * I don't take this term lightly... a Ridgeline is NOT a truck.
August 13, 200817 yr Hopefully some of the nut jobs around here won't scare you away!! hey now! we don't take too kindly to that!

A real GM fanatic would know that the 4.8 never touched an Avalanche engine bay. Only the 5.3 and 8.1 <previous generation> and 6.0 <current generation; replaced the 8.1> have ever powered Avalanches. :neenerneener:

August 13, 200817 yr I save brain cells for much more important 411. For the record when the Avalanche was launched in cy2001 I was one of the first to drive one in the north east, outside of the guys who delivered them to the dealers high atop Peterbilt 379 car carriers & KW900s.... And I always knew my $hit as a carsalesman, I was the go-to guy on (useless and otherwise) facts. I just do not give a flying crap about anything post-1973 anymore.
August 13, 200817 yr yep..... former... The Roadmaster has gone back to it's owner again. I don't have a car anymore.
August 13, 200817 yr Welcome, Vader33! This place is a little nuts, but it is a lot of fun. Oh, and I'm into small cars but I love trucks too. Congrats on owning a Z-71, I am jealous! Chris
