I have a question for you-

If there any way to download a copy of Mircosoft Word? (Excel wouldn't be bad either)

The 2003 version is fine..I have Works on this computer...but it's turning out to be a PITA to deal with.

I've been it lately for a bunch of stuff...and I don't want to have to pay 130 bucks if I don't have to....

Try out Google Documents. It's not the best, but it's online and free, so it's the easiest one to use anywhere (no installing anything).

If that doesn't cut it check out OpenOffice.

I've been using Open Office in lieu of MS Office for the last few months on my newest laptop, it's fine for my needs... otherwise, there is the student/home version of MS Office that's about $150, which is the cheapest way into the MS line.

+1 OO user. i think version 3 is coming out soon, but version 2 has met all my needs.

I've also heard of open office and its ounds good though I've never usedit. I have used AbiWord before, which is very similar to the pre 2k7 Word. You can get it here http://www.abisource.com/

Even my resume? I wonder if it has those wizards in there too....

If someone says yes, it looks like I might just try it.....

I use Open Office too, and it's a great utility that plays nice with most Microsoft Office file formats. Best of all, it's Open Source, meaning is modified, and updated by volunteers, and people from companies like Sun, and IBM.

However, if you really want the newest Microsoft Office, you can find torrents on IsoHunt; you will also need software like uTorrent, which is free. I would not recommend downloading an illegal copy not only because it's illegal, but also because a lot of that software could be riddled with all sorts of spyware, and viruses.

You'd be right about 07...

Go for OO and never look back! You can even save "word docs" as PDFs!
