I'm not sure where they get that Volkswagen is 'known for it's quality'.

I would say it's known for its bad quality. :scratchchin:

Actually it poor reliability and some people say that's not the same thing. Not me, but some people.

They're such auto experts that they got the engine in the Malibu wrong. The 2.4 was never in the 'last generation' Malibu - it was the 2.2.

Funny how you NEVER read anything harping & moaning over future hyundai resale in any articles, eh? Rental this, generic that, piss-poor resale.... Everyone's all breathless how the offerings have gone from abyssmal to mediocre... annnnd; that's it- the rest is all good.

Yet another free ride on perception alone.

Kia Sedonas in particular are a growing secondary finance favorite. We recently purchased two '03 EXs with full load - one with a sunroof - with 30/60k miles and didn't spend more than $10k for both. They're perfect finance vans - late-model, low-mileage, and have the appearance of a decent van. Too bad one averages 15MPG if you're lucky.

We used to buy quite a few Kias and Hyundais but not anymore. They're poor values for even our cost, have limited book, hold up like $h!, and most people still look at them cockeyed.

Interesting to see what they say you can buy a 5 year old MINI for. Around here there book resale would get you a salvage titled car needing repair.

Chris

Most of those vehicles are projected anyway, the Rogue and 1-Series have not been on the market long enough to determine 5-year values. I don't place much faith in a fabricated article.

Huh!?

Maybe if you like melted 1995 Ford Windstars...?
