September 9, 200817 yr 1965 Corvair Convertible Uggg....if I had room and time and the possibility of moving to a loft closer to everything weren't hanging over my head, I'd buy it and make it daily drivable. Stupid Craigslist, showing me things I want but cant put on my plate right now.
September 10, 200817 yr it's beat, but looks like it's in fair condition body wise corvair was on "101 cars you must drive".
September 10, 200817 yr Author Yeah, it looks really rough, and apparently looks worse in person, but it might be a good start for a restoration project.
September 10, 200817 yr Over the past four months I've seriously considered buying THREE different 2nd gen. Corvair hardtops. There's many tempting examples out there. Stupid Craigslist, showing me things I want but cant put on my plate right now. You're preaching to the Choir.
September 10, 200817 yr I wouldnt mind a second generation Corvair. Although the first generation Greenbrier van is cool.
September 10, 200817 yr well satty, why didn't you tell me? My dad just traded his sweet great condition pristine 66 a couple weeks ago. fully functional. drives great all of that. he paid 3k last fall and essentially got 5k back for it when he traded it a couple weeks ago. made a killing. He said he got rid of it because mom didn't want to ride in it. she didn't like it sitting so low and open....maybe she's a crossover fan...LOL Edited September 10, 200817 yr by regfootball

September 10, 200817 yr Author Buy a used International-based Brinks truck. Do you have any idea how freaking cool that would be?
September 11, 200817 yr I'm not knocking it... BOF-big-cube-(V8) or diesel power with RWD can't be wrong, esp. with a nearly indestructible shell!
September 23, 200817 yr Author 1967 Continental Maybe the one car I'd want more than a Corvair. Looks pretty rough, but that would be a sweet restoration project.
September 24, 200817 yr Author I'm not picky on Continentals. Suicide doors and the general pimp-image are all I'd need. But I've moved past that because I found this 1958 Jeep. I emailed the guy for more pics and info. Depending on what he says, I'll have to decide if its worth sleeping in the living room for the next 6 weeks (if I'm lucky).
