September 14, 200817 yr Somebody PLEASE take that Continental kit off that '58 Mercury and throw it in the dumpster IMMEDIATELY! Otherwise, a great set of photos!
September 14, 200817 yr I love this kind of thread, nice to have an excuse to ot photos of classic 'Merican cars... BTW that's not just "just a '38 Buick" it's the very first concept car, the legendary, world famous Y-job. Somebody PLEASE take that Continental kit off that '58 Mercury and throw it in the dumpster IMMEDIATELY! Otherwise, a great set of photos! You read my mind. So how's living in N.H.? I'm jealous that you and your girl have left the Communist Commonfilth of mASSachusetts and Julie and I are still here. ---- Here's some of my favorites: (reverse chronological order)
September 14, 200817 yr Somebody PLEASE take that Continental kit off that '58 Mercury and throw it in the dumpster IMMEDIATELY! Otherwise, a great set of photos! + 1. That thing is hideous. I mean come on what were they thinking? Agree with 68, the 1938 Buick is mother/ father of concepts. No one can take that claim away from Y-job. Here is one (a couple) things from me
September 14, 200817 yr Oh man, a bunch of cool pics, even Sixty8's almost lifesize Imperial photo.
September 14, 200817 yr Mmmm...lots of goodies. I'll take the '71 Rivi and the '69 Marquis. My folks had a Marquis similar to that ('71), but I was too little to remember it. My folks had a '58 Monterey back in '58, but no continental kit (which I think look stoopid) AFAIK.
September 16, 200817 yr Author My Father sent me the pictures in an e-mail, I figured I should post them here. I know there are a lot of people here who really like classic American cars.
