The green streak

Featured Replies

Oh man, I had to race today for the first time in my Cobalt. Some kid in a tC was zipping through traffic with his fart can, passing ppl. It just so happened at the next light, I was next to him. When I stopped at the light, I hung back instead of stopping even with him. When the light turned green, I popped the clutch, squealed wheels, and caught second gear, leaving his wheezy little Toyota farting in the breeze. HA! That was fun.

? Well it was Saturday a week ago, I posted about it in the "C&G Drives" section, and yesterday I posted pics of it down in the "Members Rides" section, at the covered bridge where I took pics of my Colorado and my Sierra. Thanks though.

I've been offline quite a bit lately and just noticed it this morning in Member's Rides.

:blink:Um OK, sorry to destroy your fantasy...:AH-HA_wink:

Oh, that's nothing... I rode around in a fully restored and customized '66 Chevy pick-up tonight. Damn Cobalt drivers thinking they're the $h!. *shakes head* :D:P

so you're excited that you won a race when the other guy didn't know you were racing him? Not to be a jerk, but it sounds like it wasn't really a race...

Yeah I guess I was taking a cue from my cat... sneaking up and pouncing. But it was still a brief, beneficial "blow off steam" moment, after his recent horseplay.

A '66 Chevy pickup? Pics prease!

Phuk Yeah! :metal:

One of the most exciting cat-n-mouse games I ever played was

in the 'ol Sixty8 (Camaro) through a series of red lights against

some middle eastern looking kids in a BMW M3. I blew their doors

off and at the next light when they caught up they gave ME the

thumbs up.... even though my Panther was at this point in very

poor cosmetic shape, hence XP's nickname for it:

The "Mad Max Camaro" :spin:

Are you serious? He specifically said he

1. was next to a jackass who was fast and furious-ing through traffic

2. gave the opponent a slight advantage (I too do this when I'm confident of a win)

He never indicated that he let the other guy know he was going to race. The other guy may have been driving like an idiot, but that doesn't mean he was ready to actually race. "Hanging back" may have even given the opposite impression that lining up would have.

Maybe it's an enthusiast thing but whenever someone hangs-back after driving

aggressively I assume they might be getting ready to drop the hammer.
