And if they had their way (the fundies), they'd probably rip up the Constitiution and create a theocracy. Lots of nut jobs out there of all stripes with all sorts of crazy theories....

I'm more worried about the rise of Skynet and the robots...I think Google is becoming Cyberdyne... :)

There is a Jesus for President sign at the exit ramp from Rt 23 onto I-270 on the north end of town.

Ohio is full of Morons just like you describe...

I think that some form of world government is inevitable, just not right now: we are not mature enough to handle it.

Some of us may still be alive when Earth may need to put up a united front against other 'world' governments.

In all seriousness...you have a really cool mind, you need to try your hand at writing Sci-Fi or Fantasy. Seriously. With your understanding of people and what makes them work from your years in the car biz, I bet it would be a good book.

I don't give him that much credit, but I'm sure it makes him smile.

We have horribly over-reacted to 9/11 in the way that we live here.

Only fools trade freedom for security.

That's true as a laser beam is straight. (black holes aside)

LOL

Seriously, you don't want to know the number of short stories (and 3 unfinished novels) I've written over the years. My grade 11 English teacher was horrified with a 230 page (typed) assignment I gave her. I went to school with Robert Sawyer. Look him up. He is living the dream I thought I would, had I have (ahem) kept it in my pants, so to speak, after highschool. I guess that's why so many geeks are rich! LOL

What a messed up, twisted world we live in.

My reaction to all this lunacy is one of bevilderment.

Some days it makes me think I need to start going

to church again... then I remember the hypocracy

that they harbour, there's really no solace in

anything, no sanctuary or sanity to be found.

Hard to be optimistic when only the fools preach of

positive change and have faith in hollow ideals.

Well I'm still busy with some training. I hope to god nothing ever happens. where full militant action is required.

I wish I shared your optimism.

it seems that "we" may be being provoked if you want.

I hope martial law isn't imposed as well... we may never recover from it..at least in our lifetime.

I hope common-sense can overcome orders if it ever happens.
