Exercise/workout habits

Currently I bike about 10 miles everyday. I park my car, ride to school, school to work, work to car. It doesn't always work out like that, depends on what I have to do and when I have to do it. So, in order to get a more consistent workout, I'm going to start getting up earlier and jogging in the morning. Its getting too chilly to kayak, which sucks. I'm thinking about springing the $4/week to get into the company gym, haven't decided if I'd actually use it or not.

Asking or telling us?

At $4, what's to wait? I have seen some dorky company gyms with minimal equipment, but some company gyms are actually top notch, with towels, shaving cream/razors, quality shampoos. Sometimes, I don't think I'd want to belong to a company gym because who wants to work out with co-workers?

Do you have a chain like Bally's or 24 Hour Fitness you can belong to? That's what I'd do.

Well, I learned one thing this morning. The gas station on the corner is a lot closer than I thought it was.

Anywho, as far as 24 hour gyms go. The one at work is open 24/7, so I could go before class. Ozark Fitness is the big chain around here (2 locations, woo!) but their contracts are rediculous. We have some 24 Hour Fitness locations, and their contracts aren't as bad, but their month-by-month plans suck.

No Croc, it's a gym, and a darn fine one. You kin chop wood and stack it, chase possums through an obstacle course, let a skunk chase YOU through the parking lot... why, the list is posolutely endless. And don't forget the "squeal like a pig" contest in the locker room after your workout!:)

Isn't "Ozark Fitness" an oxymoron?

That would be funny if it weren't so true.

:rotflmao:

Its a decent enough gym, they have all the equipment you could ask for. But the staff sucks and the only way to get a reasonable rate is to sign an insanely long contract, and even then the rate isn't guaranteed. But at least if I joined there, I would get unlimited tanning.
