October 15, 200817 yr On GM Media in Europe they had tons of photographs of the new Cadillac CTS-D Estate Wagon with the 2.9L Diesel V6 Turbo and they were sweet. If I got any CTS it would be a CTS Estate Wagon and it prolly would have a Diesel as well but no AWD. Am I the only one drooling over this thing. So is anyone in love with this thing like I am... Of course I would rather have an STS V6 with performance package and Brembo brakes and summer tires or a DTS Performance. But the CTS Estate Wagon is pretty sweet.

October 15, 200817 yr Damn those are hot shots! Thank you for finding/posting them. GM is making a HUGE mistake not bringing this over in diesel form...... Even if they only did it in limited numbers, there'd be a waiting list for them!
October 15, 200817 yr Author Listen we do have things in common Oldsmobli you a great guy with a good taste in cars. So were not getting the diesel? I thought we were, maybe they'll chang there mind there is still time.
October 15, 200817 yr Author Glad to post the shots I'll get you the link to the full album and there are plenty other sweet CTS shots too.

October 15, 200817 yr Author Here is the linky... Scroll down and you will see them trust me... Cadillac CTS-D Estate Wagon (EURO) Edited October 15, 200817 yr by gm4life
October 15, 200817 yr Author I emailed Lutz. He said no. But that was a year ago at least. That is just plain dumb and crazy it would help that bloody cafe crap too. You have Lutz's email? I would love to give that man a piece of my mind. :smilies-38096:

I would love to give that man a piece of my mind. :smilies-38096: PCS said everyone at GM's email changed. So what I have probably no longer works. I did get a personal reply way back when though.
October 15, 200817 yr Sex on wheels. Make it three who like and will buy this machine. GM needs to get one four pot, one six pot and one eight pot diesel in United States ASAP. It seems like other than the 4.5L V-8 they have plans for none.
October 15, 200817 yr Author SmallChevy I won't be buying a Cadillac for sometime I owned one tho and loved it.
October 15, 200817 yr I just read that Cadillac may put the 4.5 liter diesel V8 in the CTS, which is very intriguing depending on what kind of mileage the engine gets.
October 15, 200817 yr Hooooooooooot wagon! It's a crying shame they aren't bringing the 2.9L over. As cool as the 4.5 would be, I'd pull for the 2.9, simply because the mileage figures will help get butts in the wagons seats.
October 15, 200817 yr What's with the hump in the headliner above the driver's side rear passenger? That picture of the rear seats gives me a claustrophobic chills. IMHO, for a car to be called a wagon, it needs to have at least three feet of space behind the rear seats.
October 15, 200817 yr Look who is posting on there.... Borger @ Oct 15th 2008 9:10AM Put it in the wagon first, becuse that's what I am going to buy.
October 15, 200817 yr i think there could be a huge diesel market here if the price of diesel was closer to parity with gas. edit. I'd love driving this car....just not paying for it upfront.. not yet at least. Edited October 15, 200817 yr by loki
October 15, 200817 yr What's with the hump in the headliner above the driver's side rear passenger? My guess would be the electric gate lift actuator motor. I am sure this puppy has an electric lift gate.
October 15, 200817 yr Damn, that's a nice ass... I guess GM is shy about bringing diesels here because of the PRICE of diesel. AFAIK, Duramax sales died this summer when diesel was more expensive than gas. Edited October 15, 200817 yr by FUTURE_OF_GM
October 15, 200817 yr gas was 2.66 at the pump today. if gas stays close to that for the next few months, there will be no diesel.
October 15, 200817 yr Around here (so cal) diesel is close to, if not slightly cheaper, then 91 octane right now.
October 15, 200817 yr Author Really diesel is that close? Well GM another reason to bring this sucker over.
October 16, 200817 yr Really diesel is that close? Well GM another reason to bring this sucker over. Regular and Plus are still generally cheaper. Diesel should be brought over, though, as it is definitely a more efficient fuel. With CA, the main issue would be if the emissions are clean enough, and I know MB tried to make clean enough diesel systems and came up slightly short. VW may have done it, though...I'm not quite sure.
October 16, 200817 yr It's nice and all, will be priced WAY OUT of my price range, and if GM wanted to give me the keys to one free of charge I'd gladly accept... BUT... I'd still much rather have a Pontiac G8 SportWagon instead
October 16, 200817 yr Author Yeah a G8 GT Safari would be to my liking also. It is outta of my price range too at this point in my life anyways.

October 17, 200817 yr Author It does, doesn't it. It is prolly just a pre-production model slapped together for shows and such.
