I personally think it's insane this merger/takeover is even on the table. The last thing GM needs is extra weight.

What would GM want with Chryslers stuff? Most of what GM has is better than Chryslers anyway.

Actually, I heard that both the Dodge and Chrysler brands would be going away in addition to Hummer and Pontiac. Only Jeep would survive out of Chryslers brands.
